Because Covid year cheated Makayla out of her friend party, we decided to have a little fun on her "family year" and surprise her big time! Grandma and Grandpa came up to help and took Makayla out for her birthday treat while we set up for her party. We had quite the day before hand, but we were able to get it ready! When they got back from their Zeppes date, her friends had arrived and we had the house all decorated. She was SOOOO surprised! It was so fun to see her absolute shock and excitement! Then we told her where we were going with a present with a cowgirl hat in it. One of her friends spilled the beans a little early, but it was still fun to elaborate with the hat! We loaded all the girls up and headed to a little farm. The lady was a little late with a family emergency, but the kids wandered around visiting the animals. When she showed up she let the kids pet and hold some of the farm animals. Then she brought out the ponies and gave the kids rides. To make is special for Makayla she let her trot on the pony. She giggled and giggled. We took the kids back to the house for presents, cake, and ice cream. It was such a fun night to see her beaming with excitement! Her birthday was actually Sunday, then next day, so it was even more of a surprise for her. On Sunday, we made her choice of a dinner and then gave her our presents to her. We love our Makayla and are excited for her baptism in a few weeks!
