March Randoms

Last soccer game with this girl. I loved coaching her and in some ways I will miss that next year!
Warmer weather means landscaping time! Millie kept coming in with muddy paws from the dirt.

Enough was enough!

St. Patty's Day was a little different with the Covid-19 hitting. School was out for the unforeseeable future. The naughty leprechaun died our milk and toiled water green and we got some yummy lucky charms for breakfast. Makayla was the most excited about that stinker leprechaun drawing on everyones faces!

At the beginning of March we celebrated the March birthdays with the Hegerhorst family.

The 4th graders were on the news for the weather for some reason one day. So Zack had a second of fame that day!

The school had one of their dress up weeks at school. Boys didn't care as much, but Makayla had fun with it!

 That hair!!!

Finishing the week of with a Reading Night and Zack's teacher was dressed like Cat and the Hat for the Dr. Seuss week.
Makayla has been loving playing dolls. She decided to buy herself one and it was going everywhere with her!

Learning to make her own eggs
Watching the car get its tires rotated
Graham has a nice big lymph node on the side of his neck that has been there since he was a year old ish. Since it had been awhile the doctor recommended getting an ultrasound to make sure that was all it was. I kept busy throughout the weekend we had to wait so I didn't focus on the what ifs too much. It ended up being fine, but those worries always linger in the back of your mind. He is just a skinny guy and it was a very normal lymph node. They will just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't grow. He was such a good boy and held super still for all of it too.

Last bball games for the season.
Lining his cars up by color:)

We decided to take a drive one Sunday evening and went to find the snow in the mountains

We ended the night with a walk, bubbles, and some cotton candy. Love these times with our family!

Our at home videos and challenges got creative one night!
Makayla loves to play make believe. She even got all dressed up and made Nate play the boy and propose to her. She is too funny!

School lunches during this quarantine time!

Lots and lots of reading is being done
We woke up to a 5.4 earthquake one morning. This was the week after we are told to stay home from the Covid-19 spread. It shook the house enough that is woke us right up! Several kids slept through it. I think we are all a little too used to construction trucks causing some shaking around us. It shook us all up though. They kept warning of potential after shocks and I was worried every time I left the kids for even a moment for the next week or so worried about what ifs. It was a little eye opening. Don't even get me started on how scary it was to go to the store and see some stuff stop being on the shelves during that time. We got out our 72 hour kits and updated them a little and tried to gather a little more to add to our food storage.
One night we decided to get takeout from Cafe Rio for date night. Since all the eateries are takeout only, we sat in our car. It was a weekend and one of the first weeks the restaurants were adapting to the carryout only system. We ended up waiting like 45 minutes for our food. In the meantime, our car battery must have died. We had to get a jump and a nice guy helped us out. Even with the Corona making people nervous, there are still people willing to help!

Zoom calls for school. Nate's teacher held a few to review some songs and say hello.

Came around the corner to find the boys BOTH on the pot at the same time. They kill me!

Our neighborhood did some fun games at the beginning of quarantine time. We had a bear hunt and we decked our house out with bears. The boys rode around the neighborhood and found close to 50. Another game was hiding a smile toy around the neighborhood as a hide and seek with a clue. Kids had fun finding it once and we put it by the porta-potty:)

Grandma wanted us all to fill out a questionnaire. We had done some family zoom calls and she was putting together some family history stuff as well. Some of us took it seriously, others not so much!
