We had a special Conference weekend. Who knew that back when Pres. Nelson announced this special session of conference, celebrating the Restoration, that it would be for more than just that. It was needed. During this time of mass confusion and unknown, this was a light in that darkness. It was something to look forward to, prepare for, and to bring us all together even when we were apart. We enjoyed spending time as a family preparing and learning more about the Restoration and the goodness of God along the way. We saw Him there and we see Him now. We got to introduce several of our kids to the Hosanna Shout. We have been able to fill our home with the Spirit as at church or the temple. It has been the neatest of experiences recognizing the Lord's hand in preparing our families to do church from home. Come Follow Me was a blessing and it is a confirmation of how the Lord blesses the obedient and how He provides a way. My testimony of so many of these things has been strengthened and has been probably the highlight of all this family time. At one of our at home sacrament meetings towards the beginning of all this, after the sacrament was passed, Zack turned to me and said, "Mom, I felt the Spirit during that." If all of this was for that moment, it was worth it. I could tell he had and so had I. It was neat to have Dan be able to bless it and Levi old enough to pass. We heard the most inspiring messages that certainly motivated us try a little harder and be a little better. We are so loved and so blessed! We even were SHOCKED to hear that we are getting our very own temple here in Syracuse. With Laytons still on the way, it was very unexpected and just was the cherry on top of an amazing weekend. He is aware of us! I love these special moments with my family and hope they will remember these special times.
