The boys both played in the Park City soccer tournament this year. It was a rough tournament as they both got put in the top brackets. Levi's team lost by 1 or 2 every game it was so close, so they did well considering! Zack's team played some REALLY good teams. But, Zack had a few great games for the first 2 even playing against such good teams. He ended up with hand foot and mouth with blisters on his feet at the last game. Miserable! We didn't even know it at the time and couldn't figure out what was going on as he limped around. My favorite was his first game against the best team. He was a wall. He even scored on a corner kick. It just curved right in there! Coolest goal I have seen in person. The excuse to go to Park City was soccer, but we used it as a getaway too! The kids love staying at hotels. We swam, went for walks, and on a longer break after their games the second day, we went to the Uintahs. We hiked to Ruth Lake. It had been 10 years since Dan and I went with my family shortly after being married. It was fun to go back with 5 kids in tow. It was not too busy and it was nice to just get out! They did really well minus Makayla taking a little tumble and scraping up her leg. Levi even hiked in his boat and had fun letting it loose on the lake. It was very pretty, cooler weather, and such a nice little getaway into the mountains. We stopped by the Falls on the way back for more swimming and dinner.
