We did a staycation this year for the Burkholder family reunion. Our little family started the weekend off by watching the neighbors annual fireworks show after some swimming and Bbq'ing. Nate apparently drinks a lot of the pool and has to pee every 15 minutes. Since I can't leave the kiddos in the pool, he has developed the bad habit of peeing on the fence:)
July 4th we started off the reunion with swimming, obstacle course, yard games, and grilling at the Stevenson's. Levi slept over while the rest of us headed home pretty tired after a very fun day!
The next day we all met at the Stevenson's for breakfast and to pack our lunches for a day in the mountains. We headed to snowbird and did all the fun things there. They even had an American Ninja Warrior course up that was probably the highlight of the weekend for my boys. There were Alpine slides, mountain coasters, bounce houses, tube rides, and much more.
We ended the fun few days together by all eating at PF Changs in Salt Lake before heading our separate ways. It was not very busy there and the kids actually liked what they got considering a few of them are not fans of Chinese food. It was a great reunion and we have such a good and fun family! I always walk away grateful that my kids get to play with their cousins and what good examples they have in some of these older cousins.
