Levi is 10!

For Levi's 10th birthday, we decided to take him and Zack to Lagoon for the first time. Grandma came to watch the little kids so that we could ride all the crazy rides. The Boston's had passes for the summer so they met us there and helped us pick the best rides. I loaded up on Dramamine and Coke to get myself through all the flipping. Having kids does a number on your ability to spin! Anyways, we ran from ride to ride and had such a blast! Zack ended up being the perfect height, and he overcame some fears and ended up loving the ones he was most afraid of the most. It was a fun date night with our big boys. Levi's actual birthday was on a Sunday, so Saturday we gave him a few presents so he could play with them. He more had a birthday weekend! He raced his new boat and we made some cotton candy. On his birthday we went down to celebrate with James and family. Levi requested Texas Sheetcake, so that is what he got. He loved his new Messi jersey too! It was a fun time celebrating our 10 year old. I think it was harder to celebrate him getting that old than any other birthday!!!
Levi at 10: Levi is going into 5th grade. He may be on the smaller/younger end, but he runs faster than any kid I know and is always one to beat academically. He works hard at all he does. He is very self motivated, which makes moms life super easy. I also get told how respectful he is at church, school, and scouts. That makes my mama heart happy! He is still taking piano, and loves loves loves to play soccer. He loves basketball too when that comes around. He continues to do scouts. He has been working on backhand-springs on the ground, and backflips off the diving board. The kid is a monkey! He loves loves loves to read. When he gets into a book he will not rejoin society till it is done. I wonder who he got that from:) Zack and him are the best of friends. They do everything together when they are home. Levi is also my mini dad. With their dad gone so much at school, Levi has really saved me. Graham prefers him more than me sometimes. He will give him piggy back rides and watch him while I cook dinner. When he is upset, he will go to Levi for loves. When Graham in nervous of babysitters, he will cling to Levi. Sometimes it is hard being the oldest, but I am sure glad he is! I don't know what I would do without his help! He is also always trying to make the right choice and really is such a good example to the younger kids. We love our Levi and is baffles me that he is 10!!!!
