New York Day 3

We woke up a little sore, but ready to take on another day. We rode the Subway up to the Manhatten temple stop. We got off the stop and we started following the map on our phones. We would cross one road and realized it was the wrong direction and cross another and ended up right back by the Subway entrance. We finally looked up and there was Moroni! The sign was covered up by trees, but the temple was on one end of a building. We thought it pretty fun that we would have found it had we just "looked up" :)

We were headed to the American History Museum. Luckily we got to stroll through Central Parks Strawberry Fields. Prettiest view with the morning sun! Magical in the Fall!

The American History Museum was our next ticketed appointment. It was my favorite museum probably. Some movie references like Night at the Museum helped that! It was pretty large so we lasted a few hours before our sore legs were done with museums. We made it through it though! Just had to limit the stopping!!!
Nasty pretzel snack from a food cart while we waited. Definitely not a favorite!

Jaunt back through Central Park to the Subway. Seemed fitting to find a painter!
We decided go to the Highline next. It is a walkway built on an old railway that runs above the streets.

Weird art work lining the sides of the walkway-The Retainer. Ha!

We were pleasantly surprised when we popped out to find the Little Island they built from an old port. Pretty park with a playground. Super pretty view!

We decided to head back to the hotel and rest up for an early dinner and our show. After a nice little break we headed back through Time Square to our favorite restaurant Carmines. Yummy Italian.
It was show time! It was so fun to go to a broadway in New York!!! The show was AMAZING! Even Dan thought it was!

We decided to just walk the 10 blocks to our hotel since we got a little weary of the subway rides late at night. The city was plenty hopping for our walk though! And after sitting for a few hours it was not a bad walk! What a fun day!!!
