New York Day 2

This was a huge walking day! Lots to see!!!

We woke up the next morning and made our way over to the MET. We stopped on the Subway stop on the other side of Central Park so we took the long way through some of the walking trails through the park so we could see the Belvedere Castle. I ran through the park like Phoebe on Friends, we saw lots of squirrels, and fell in love with this GIANT park in the middle of this crazy huge city.

We spent several hours until our tummies complained walking around the MET. So much to see!!!! This museum is HUGE. We took tons of photos, but I will spare you most of them.

Famous Monet painting! Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies

We walked down the Met side of Central Park to the Trump Tower for lunch. We got to walk by all the super expensive stores like Prada, Tiffany's, and Armani.

Nearby we rented a tandem bike to ride through more of Central Park. The tandem bike was TERRIBLE. No gears so it made it a little interesting. But, we rode both loops and got a good idea of what Central Park was like. It was one of my favorite places we visited. I am definitely not what I would call a "city girl" so that is probably why!!! So many interesting people and groups hanging around the park. They were setting up for the marathon too so lots of runners getting ready for the weekend.

After spending a few hours exploring we returned the bike and headed to our next scheduled tickets to the Rockefeller Center.
St. Patricks Cathedral
Atlas at the Rockefeller Center
We got the daytime views of the buildings this time. They gave us a 360 degree map so we were able to locate all the tall buildings and have the names.

Had to get a picture with the park I walked/biked miles through today!
We decided to hit up the Grand Central Station Eateries and found some pizza there before heading back home. We had some VERY tired feet, but it was a great day!
