Soccer, Soccer, and more Soccer

I got asked to help and be Levi's assistant coach for his soccer team. I was clear that I could help a little more in the summer since Dan doesn't start school until September, and then it would be on a, when he needs me basis. We try hard to make it a fun family thing. After one conditioning practice, the boys ran through a splash pad. I suited up the littles and they had fun too! Zack's team has had hit or miss practice throughout the summer, and he is anxious to start games in September.

We had a tournament up in Park City at the end of July. We got stuck with games at 8 AM and over an hour away, so we got a hotel for one of the nights. The boys won their first game 10-2, tied their second game, had a shootout before their semi-final game, lost the shootout, played the 1st place in the other bracket and Levi scored the winning goal off a corner kick! He was sooooo happy! They ended up losing 4-3 in the championship game to the same team they had tied earlier in the tournament. It was a very fun tournament! Levi had about a goal a game and usually they were the ones to tie the game or win it. I'd say he had a great tournament!

 His biggest fans!

Water fight after practice. The boys soaked me!

Their last tournament before school was their club teams, the Rampage tournament. They got stuck in the easier bracket and ended up winning the whole thing. It was a fun win, not as exciting as Park City since the competition was not the same. One game though, Levi scored 5 goals, so they won 9-5. It is always fun to watch and even better when it is about a mile from our house!
