First Day of School 2017

I always have mixed feeling on the first day of school. I am so excited for them, yet so sad that my boys are going to be gone most the day!
Zack was super excited this year. He has my favorite teacher to date this year, Mrs. Goddard. She team teaches with Mrs. Bybee. I loved her as Levi's teacher and next to begged her to look for Zack! He loves them! They do brain dances and he thinks she is absolutely hilarious. She pushed Levi hard in math and I loved that about her. She also made Levi LOVE to read after her class. I am so excited for him and he will have a great year!

Levi got Mrs. West this year. She is such a sweet lady. My neighbor, who we carpool with and whose daughter was in her class said, "She is a sweet teacher, with a motherly heart." Too true. After the first day Levi said she was super nice.

These two are the best of friends and I am so happy they have each other at school. They came home saying, "It was a great day!" "Best day ever!" and "Can I go back to school yet!" I love their school, love their teachers, and love that they love to learn! Hopefully this attitude continues ALL YEAR! These boys are going to rock 4th and 2nd grade!

Johnson's Come to Play

The Johnson's were coming up and we decided to meet them up at the Stevenson's. They were out of town and we had been up the day before to swim and visit Bada. My kids thought they won the lottery because they got to go two days in a row. Levi had been practicing his back flips on the tramp, and did one of the diving board. That encouraged dad to do the same!

Then they got started on the mermaid tails! Ah ha ha!

This girl took off on her swimming. She learned to take breaths and can now go down the slide and swim to the side. She has exploded in her swimming this year and is so excited to be swimming all by herself! We practiced jumping off the wall and swimming to the wall. She did so good!

That night we headed to the Willard Bay "Fireworks Over the Bay." Let's just say, the fireworks were fun, but the mosquitoes were AWFUL! We will not be doing it again, but the kids had fun throwing rocks in the water and playing with cousins on the beach before it started. I came out with way too many bites all over my rear and the kids had them on their faces for church the next day! We sprayed and it was like we never did!

The part they probably were most excited about was the sleepover afterwards. It was very fun having the cousins over!

August Randoms Part 2

We have just been having some serious fun as a family these last few weeks of summer. It has been a mixture of playing at home and a few outings. It really has been a perfect end to summer and I am still sad that it has come to a close.

We decided to use our pass again and headed to the aquarium, again! This place never gets old because of all the different things that they bring out and do when you go. It is one place I will consider renewing our pass because of the constant changes. They loved the snake, the bird show, and the new baby turtles this go around!

The boys saved their money and bought themselves these pocket racers. They are tiny, but they love to drive them around the floor.
On Sundays, sometimes I feel like my lap is full when Makayla, Nate, Graham tend to fill it up. Levi has really stepped in, especially if dad is gone.
If you look closely Dan is riding Levi's swivel bike on our Sunday night walk. I really do have 6 kids and a dog:)
Millie loves bubbles more than the kids do!
 Flying doggy!
We go out and swim several afternoons a week in the summer in our backyard. I love the relationship I already see forming between Nate and Graham. Nate is the sweetest to him and still call him, "Baby Bam." He may start with a D sometimes, but we won't remember that one:)
Grandma came up and took the kids bowling and to lunch. They are always excited when Grandma comes!

This is how I get showered sometimes:)
This is how we survive shopping at Costco. Good thing for big brothers!
He tried out the swing for the first time and loved it! He will spend a lot of time out in that thing now!
Nate and his toes. He never complains and I just love his little toes hanging out of his jammies!
We took the kids to see Spiderman. The boys LOVED it! It was about 20minutes too long for the littler ones, but they did pretty well!
Another one of those sweet moments with the boys. Graham was crying and Nate went to hold his hand. When I change their diapers in the morning, Nate lays down right next to Graham and immediately takes his hand. They are super cute!
The kids always say their favorite thing to do with daddy is to jump on the tramp. I wonder why?!
We bought some clippers and are trying to save a buck and clip Millie's hair every now and then on our own. Not bad for a first timer! I felt like I was shearing a sheep!
Mr. Bright Eyes! I am starting to think he may keep his blue eyes! He has such a sweet and happy little face. He definitely gets a lot of smooches from his mama!

My kids are fish and all they want to do is swim. They could and do swim most days in the summer. Makayla is getting the hang of swimming now and we take her floaty off for practice.

Don't tell Levi I posted this. He was mad I took it!
