It was a busy month with constant packing and construction going on in the house. We did manage a few fun things in between, but it was a lot of work!
Millie got her much needed grooming after her puppies and she looked like Minnie Mouse, it was too cute
Stair sledding was a big hit during a few of the snow stormsNathan started Sunbeams, much to his dismay. He was so mad about it! He loved nursery and grandma and grandpa Church. They were super cute nursery leaders and he missed them. After realizing it was only a short time with the new 2 hour block, he didn't seem to mind to much after!
Makayla was determined to have Millie on her bed. Millie jumps right back down, as she never gets on furniture. It was cute to see her try though! Doggy sister bond.
Foundation was poured
Walks to throw rocks in the ice at the pond
Dan coached both boy's teams in Junior Jazz. We were in full swing in January for games. It was fun to see them play!
Nate was sunshine in yucky weather and packing. I just love his ability to make us smile with his spunky personality.
The house flew up when they started framing. So fun to drive by everyday dropping kids off to school
Watching dad spray the closets.
Levi loved futsal. He had a fun game where they won 5-4 and he got 4 and an assist.
Playing outside while dad and mom were working. They got pretty good at entertaining themselves!
Painting is the WORST. This TV wall was awful. We took like 2 hours to drape and tape it off, to find out we ran out of paint at 11:30pm. We ended up just mixing another one in to blend it and it worked fine. But, man! I Hate painting and we had tons of it!
Makayla was so excited to get a new bedspread. Unicorns of course.
Dance costume ordered. She is only staying in dance so she can wear it on stage, or so she tells me:)
Nate was still having hives after 2 months. They were smaller and less frequent and by the time his appointment rolled around it had almost been 3 months. He had 1 or 2 I got to show the Allergist who just confirmed that he believed it was the antibiotics that caused it and it was completely normal to last that long. He is now allergic to Amoxicillin and Cefdanir and they both cause some pretty sever hiving and this last time it lasted about 3 MONTHS! It was awful. Glad he got those tubes in to avoid any more antibiotics for awhile.
Mid January we took that Saturday to take a load of stuff to the Hirshci's to officially move in. It was hard and weird to live in between 2 houses. We left beds and furniture behind to stage the house. The simplistic life was a blast for my kids with an empty house to play in. It was nice to get our couch back though when we signed for the house sale though!
Their backyard has been so much fun for the kids. I am determined to do a built in tramp in the next house. The kids have absolutely loved it.
Watching the Walmart guy load our groceries:)
The kids will only shower or bath in our bathroom. Apparently it is a lot cooler than our last bathroom was!
We were short 2 mattresses that were left to stage the other house, so after a week on the floor, we gave them an air mattress. They did pretty goo for another week or so on it before they got their mattresses. Thank heavens the house closed fast!
Being tired of all the work and no play, while Levi was at a bday party close by, I took the other 4 to jump on it. They had so much fun. It is like we had never jumped on tramps or gone to do anything fun! It had been awhile! It was nice to let them loose.
We have a weekly house check on Sundays when no one is working on it. It has been fun for us all to walk through it and see the different stages it is in.
I got to go with Zack to the Planetarium. I got to keep track of 6 3rd graders jumping on and off the frontrunner to get there. It was pretty fun, till Zack came down with something about 1/2 way through. He developed a fever and a good cough. I was just praying he would make it home. He even coughed so hard he threw up on the walk back. He did ok considering the illness that was on the way! It was a good thing the moving was mostly done before this hit cause it was a doozy for almost the entire family!
Next up was Nate, Mom, Graham, and Makayla. It started off as a fever and aches for a few days and a good head cold with a cough. It would last about 7-10 days. It rippled through most of us. I was pretty sure it was Influenza. We had some get the stomach bug after that and even pink eye. January-February was a bad month for illness in our house!
My oldest watching the youngest at parent teacher
Jazz game! Makayla was so happy that she got to go this year!
