Makayla is 5!

Makayla is a whole hand!!! This girl is caught between little kid and big kid at the moment. You can see her wanting to stay little, but she is mature in so many ways and much is expected of her. I think having 2 little siblings does that:) She is a little mama, yet still soooo little to me. I can't believe she is 5 and it is CRAZY that she will start Kindergarten in the fall. She is too little!!!! We went to the doctor and got her stats:

Weight: 37lb8oz-34%

Makayla has LOVED being in preschool this year. She is such a social bug and makes friends everywhere she goes. She just loves to be around other kids. She has done so well and her preschool, Down on Grandpa's Farm, has been so fun for her. They do such cute activities and field trips. She has also learned quite a bit of things like cutting with scissors, science experiments, and they even have a sensory table. It has been a good experience for her. She came home last week after seeing their chicks hatch, their caterpillars in chrysalis, and a baby horse being born. Quite an eventful week at the farm! Makayla has done the program UPStart this last year, and between that and our reading lessons, this girl is READING! She knows many sight words and is doing great at blending. She is 3/4 of the way through our reading lesson book and I am so excited for her to start school. She is so ready and cannot wait to join her brothers. I on the other hand, think she has to be too young still! Makayla is my little helper. She helps with her little brothers and will help me do chores throughout the day. She is my runner and keeps me company. She has creative stores and she gets super animated when she tells them. She loves to dress up, play dolls with her friends, make believe games are her favorite. She loves beanie boos, coloring, and dance parties. She hates sleeping alone in a room (we have baby Graham, but she hates being quiet when she goest to bed). She is our best eater hands down. She tries most everything and loves everything the boys don't. She is the worlds biggest tease sometimes. With four brothers, you can tell she has her way of dealing with it:) She can push their buttons almost more than they can hers. She loves to keep up with her brothers. She loves to play Minecraft with them and it is hilarious to hear her tell me about what she does in the game. She loves to play with friends. She hops the fence, or her friends hop over here several times a week. She is playing soccer on a team with Nate right now and it is so cute to see her try to help him and get him to score. She is ready to move on to something a little more, but it is fun to see them play together! She is my little artist who draws me pictures and writes me notes. Her handwriting has come a long way this year. She cries often when I leave, like I am never coming back:) She gives great hugs, much to her brothers dismay, kisses too. She has a little sass to her. When she wants to do something, she does it. When she gets in trouble she feels awful and cries and cries. She is such a softy and really doesn't like when people are mad at her, like at all. She is such a sweet addition to our family and we are so glad we got her added to our family. We love our Makayla girl!
