We had a pretty stressful first week in December trying to get carpet in. I felt like I was packing to move and unpacking. We had to take apart beds and go through all 3 rooms and clear them out. My front room, kitchen, and living room were pretty full! The company coming to install the carpet scheduled for 1 day. Dan worked from home since I was worried about having to pick up kids, and get the kids naps with no where to go. I had a kitchen table and about 5 feet of capet to work with. So, I drove to Brigham City and back to give my littles a nap that day. Well, they didn't show up till 11 and barely got through the bedrooms by 7 o'clock that night. So, we hauled and put beds back together to get our kids to bed that night. They ended up having to come back for TWO MORE DAYS! Luckily grandma Hegerhorst was coming up Thursday and Dan's internet was down at work making it possible for him to work and I get to my appointments and help out at the school. Then, we called on Grandma Burkholder for Friday so I could ran out and grab Zack. I did not want to leave them here by themselves and 3 days is HARD to stay home ALL day. It was a long few days followed by a long couple others trying to put things back together. We still have yet to work the power out downstairs, however we are LOVING the basement!!!!! The kids are down there all the time now. It is like Christmas getting some of their toys out that have been in the garage for a year now.
Try functioning in this....believe me it is not fun
Before
After!
Pulling himself up on things. We will have a mover here shortly!
Finally had a little room to set up our ghetto tree this year! We wanted to buy a real one but after all this and it being a little later, I just didn't want to spend the money.
Our stake put on a community creche festival. It was fun to walk around and see over 300 nativities. There were so many fun ones and it definitely made me want to expand my sad collection of one. They had kids activities there as well as musical groups. It was better than I had expected and I love it when that happens!
moving in and painting the door...still not done.
Celebrated the December birthday's (those who were there) at Grandma and Bumpa's!
My happy helper. He loves to be in the action and is such a social little guy!
We started the lengthy goal of reading the Book of Mormon in our own personal studies. Levi is getting baptized this next year and I thought it would be a good way to help prepare. So for family home evening we set a goal to get through 1Nephi. We will go to Cherry Berry when we are done. Zack has been so diligent and I really have no idea how much he actually gets. But, he reads as much as he can and goes through every word and line. We are halfway through our first goal and it has been good for me! I need these goals and it helps to have little people who check in on me daily to make sure I read my chapter for the day!
Broke out the dress ups and Dan sent me these pics while I was at BBall with Levi and Nate.
More Dressup the next day
