Yesterday things aligned so we were all able to head up to the Uintah's and explore the mountains that we did when I was little. Kellie ran across a hike online called the Fairy Trail. There people set up Fairy houses and painted rocks and you add your own to it. There was WAY more than we anticipated and it ended up being a lot of fun. Our rock display seemed pretty small in comparison, so next year when we head up we will be more prepared! My boys painted the Ninja Turtles (with mom making the outlines!), and I painted the Minion one for Makayla since she loves Minions!
Then we headed over to Mirror Lake. We dawned on the swim trunks so we wouldn't have to worry about getting wet and pulled out the fishing poles. The kids had a blast playing by the water and fishing. Dan even happened to get one right after casting it for Levi! Unfortunately Levi got hooked before holding the fish so he was not too excited to touch it after that! But, he did say he poked it:) I just love the mountains, my family, and getting away from cell phone service and all the other stresses of life for a day! It was a fun addition to our summer and look forward to doing it again!
Since we were out that way we stopped in Park City for dinner and some shopping at the Outlet malls. It was a tiring and fun day!
