Miss Kayla

I have not picked up my camera as much these last few months and I need to rectify that! Sunday, I decided to grab Makayla since the boys had their school pictures this week. Next up, Nate!

This little girl is at such a fun and busy age. We just laugh and laugh at her during the day because she is so much fun to watch. She copies everything her brothers do and she talk your ear off. She is so gentle with Nate, which I am grateful for! She is now really good at going to bed on her own in her big girl bed as long as she knows mom or dad are not far from her door. She is such a doll and we get told all the time from people how cute she is. We just love her little giggles, her excited personality, and yes, her busy little self. She is curious, a little mischievous at time, and can be quite dramatic when she wants to be! But, in turn, she is so sweet, always yell, "Yub You!" when she is crawling into her bed, runs to meet daddy at the door EVERY time he walks in yelling, "DADDY!!!!" at the top of her lungs, and copies everything you say and do all day long. My favorite things she says right now:
"Hold you, hold you." When she wants me to pick her up
"Hurt me, hurt me." When she gets an owie
"Show me show me." When she wants to show me something
"Mom, come ear, come ear!" While motioning for me to come.
"Night night, yub you!" About 10 times before she goes to bed.
"ING Bob." King Bob
"Ater Ugh." Nater-Bug
And so so so much more. She is so much fun and keeps mom busy! I am excited to have some more time one on one with this little lady while the boys are at school. Who wouldn't be?!

1st Day of School!

The Sunday night before school we ran down for dinner and a quick new school clothes fashion show for all the kids that were there. My boys got to choose from 4 colors of polos, but they still had fun wearing their new gear! Kellie and I showed them how it was done first:)

Levi started last Tuesday. He was slightly nervous since it was a new school. I kept reassuring him that it was the SAME people, just a new place. We got to walk through the school the night before and see his teachers. We also had our annual Father's blessing the night before as well. That morning we started the day off with the traditional Poptarts for breakfast! As we lined up in the morning I heard, "Hi, Levi!" about 15 times. After seeing all his friends and his old teachers, I could tell that he felt more at home. That in turn made mom feel better about leaving him! He had a good first week and he has a couple of great team teachers this year, Mrs. Goddard and Mrs. Bybee. The new school is amazing, they are even putting an amphitheater in the back of the school. Each of the kids have a locker as well, which they were SO excited about. Here is to a great year for Levi!

Zack has been waiting for this day ever since Levi went to Kindergarten. He has been dying to go to school like Levi. Welp, all too quickly he is! He started on Monday this week. He had orientation and Kinder testing last week, which he passed with flying colors. He has the same teacher as Levi, Mrs. Porto, who we loved. He was so excited, which made it easier to drop him off. I kept asking if he was nervous and he was like, "Nope!" He was all smiles the day I dropped him off. I was anxious to pick him up afterwards and see what he thought. He told me all about his day and was very excited to go back the next day and make some new friends! I wish I had his confidence! Mom shed her tears last week when it hit me that he was going. I swear he was just as small as Nate! He is so ready and I am so happy that he is excited and having so much fun in school though!

The End of Summer Vacation!!!!

It has been an extremely fun summer, so it has been hard to see it come to an end. I am so excited for my kids, because they are excited about school, but I will miss their little faces everyday!

Grandma came up a day in August and we met her at a park and then the library and lunch. We happened to be right on time for story time. Makayla LOVED doing all the actions and it was just too cute!

I have hit the pavement hard this month since I have a half marathon at the beginning of October to get ready for! It is definitely one of the harder ones to get in shape for since I just had Nate 5 months ago...but, I am getting there!

We had the Tour of Utah ride through little old Clinton, so we parked it with some slurpees and friends and watched them wiz past in 20 seconds:)

Of course, more and more swimming. The pool is coming down, and I will be looking forward to setting it up next summer again!
We met auntie Dee at the Gateway Childrens Museum. Followed by a Trax ride to the Cheesecake Factory and back. The kids had a blast and the food was DELICIOUS! They told Dad all about the train ride when he got home that night!

We started up soccer...EVERYDAY. So Kayla felt a little left out and dressed herself for "socka!"
This kid turned 5 months old. Seriously the sweetest little guy and we just love him to pieces!

We had one last trip of the summer to the Aquarium with the Johnsons and Grandma. The kids always LOVE it!

This last Saturday, after a nice temple session and swimming, we randomly dumped the to do's and went to the Ogden Balloon Festival up in Eden, Utah by Huntsville. We sat and watched the balloons get set up, go up, and then light up. It was a fun nice night with my little family in preparation for school!

On Sunday, we headed down for a quick dinner and a school clothes fashion show. I will have more pictures of that for another post! But, here is a pic I snuck of Makayla plopping herself down on her "Yaw-yee's" lap. She just adores him and he is so gentle with her. It is such a sweet relationship that they have.
This kid had Kindergarten testing this week. He told his teacher, "I have a good brain," right after she opened the door and told me, "Based off his brother I knew he was going to be smart, but I didn't know he would be THAT smart!" We love our Zack and his 'good brain.'
This kid about a week after turning 5 months old, popped out 2 teeth! He really needs to slow it down a little! He also started this week sleeping ALL night. Like 9:30-7:30 all night. He is our angel baby, really! Along with his teeth brought a little sinuses, which with his super sensitive gag reflex (he has had since he was tiny tiny and had some nursing issues) has come a cough that after laying all night caused him to throw up almost every morning for 3 weeks, just trying to clear his throat. It is getting better and he is not sick sounding or looking! Poor kid! He is still his super sweet happy self even with that in the morning!

She is 2. We will leave it at that. But, don't you just love her little pouty face? I just want to kiss it every time I see it, which is like 20 times a day:)
