Disneyland Day 1-2

Day 1-
We had driven down to my parent's the night before to shave off a little of the drive. So we woke up, packed up, and headed out the door around 9am. We were not in a hurry since it was Sunday and we had all day to get there! The kids were super travelers! We made it to St. George in 3 1/2 hours without stopping. We gassed up and ate and jumped back in the car! We sailed through Vegas and right when we hit the California border we hit the brakes hard! We got stuck in some serious California weekend traffic the rest of the way there. The kids made it 5 hours that leg before we stopped in Barstow. What should have taken us an hour took 3! So we stopped and ate there to stretch our legs before finishing our last leg to Anaheim. We arrived around 8:30, 7:30 California time. We checked in and got settled and got the kids to bed around 9.

Day 2- Since we were on Utah time, it was no problem getting up and to the park by opening time at 8am Monday morning. We started off the day getting fast passes for The Racers in Carsland in California Adventure. We spent the morning exploring Carsland and Bug's Land while waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to join us. The came around 10 after flying in early early that morning to join the fun!

So tuckered out she fell asleep while Bumpa was holding her!
Waiting in line for the Toy Story ride in California Adventure

After that we went to the Disney Junior Live On Stage show. The kids loved it! Makayla was so excited and only tried to run on stage once:) They had all the show songs, bubbles, dancing, and other fun things.
After that we headed to Disneyland for lunch and the 2nd half of the day!
First character they me was Pluto!
Makayla seemed skeptical in this one, but that completely changed. She LOVED the characters!
We had the Dinseyland corn dogs before heading into Adventureland. We rode Pirates, and since Levi was a hair too short, we took the boys on the Jungle Safari while Dan and Dad rode Indiana Jones.
Tarzan's Treehouse

Then we took the fairy across the pond to Pirates Island while we waited for Splash Mountain fast passes. The kids loved the freedom from standing in lines for a bit and got to run around and explore the caves!

Then we headed over to Winnie the Pooh's corner. They were very excited to get to stop and see some more of the characters!

Then to Splash Mountain- I love how Grandma was hiding behind Zack. Also, the boys look horrified, but they liked this one!
Our first day of walking feet were sore as we headed over to eat in Downtown Disney at the Rainforest Cafe. Makayla LOVED the fish. She was screeching of excitement so loud that it made people laugh right and left.
Zack showing Bumpa his belly and claiming that he was so full, that his tummy looked like Bumpa's:)

Due to the boy's obsession with Legos, we stopped to peek at the Lego store on the way home.

Tired feet and all, it was a successful first day!
