We were heading out of town ON Zack's birthday to head down to St. George for a soccer tournament, so we had to fit some partying in beforehand! We decided to do our little family party the night before so we could all be there for his chosen red velvet cake cookies (again), and presents. He was REALLY wanting to add to his Anki track collection this year. On his actual birthday we lucked out and it was parent teacher conferences, so they got out early. I had some of his friends walk to our house and we went to the RUSH. The boys ran around for 2 hours playing as much as they could before we had to get home and load up for our car ride. It was a great day celebrating our Zack!
Zack is such a good kid. He is super smart, has a good ear for music, kicks butt at defense in soccer, and loves to play card games. He DOES NOT like to lose those card games, or anything for that matter. He is super competitive, mostly when up against Levi, and that competitive spirit can either be a great thing that makes him work hard till he reaches that goal (Rubik's cube, trick on the tramp, a basketball shot, ect.). Or it can sometimes be quite the sight during our family game nights:) He has such a funny sense of humor and I love how much he can laugh at himself. He loves to giggle and it just makes you want to join him. His teacher says he is a pretty quiet and well behaved kids and "her favorite." At home...not so quiet. He is off the charts smart at school and was quite upset when his SRI score didn't beat his last one....it was already well above grade level (competitive much?). He has had a great school year and has a couple of great friends that he loves to play with. One is moving at the end of the year, Preston. Corbin lives down he street, which has been a huge blessing since he has had several of his school friends move the last few years. He has a fun soccer team that has shown to be a great move for him when we changed this year. His team is playing in D1 and will probably win or take 2nd this season. Not too bad!!! Zack is our kid that does not like chores. at. all. He tends to do them as quickly as possible and does the first two jobs and lets the third job slide! He may be in for it someday when mom is not there to help clean up after him:) He HATES to practice piano, but the kid has so much potential, mom may make him for just a little while longer. Zack loves to flip around on the tramp, play any video game, card game, and making iMovies on our phones. He played basketball this year and his team made it to the championships. He had a fun season! Zack has the sweetest heart and loves to snuggle and feels terrible when he hurts feelings. He is a little shy and does not like to perform and be center of attention. It shocked us when he auditioned for a solo in his play and ROCKED it! We love our Zack and the amazing guy he is shaping up to be. It is so fun to see what he tackles next! Happy Birthday Zack man!!!
