Nathan's 6th Birthday!

Nathan turned 6 on the 12th of March. His birthday landed on a Friday, which can be a little crazy around here, but we sure managed to have some fun! We had grandma come join us. She brought him his birthday blanket, picked out his birthday toys from Bada at the store, and we even went to lunch at Crown Burger. After the kids were home from their activities we headed to his requested birthday activity at Urban Air. He had been begging and begging so we were happy when it worked out! The Andersons even joined us. It was a fun night! We headed home after for his beloved doughnut cake and the rest of his presents. We sure had a blast celebrating our NATO!

Nathan is such a fun kid. He has the sweetest heart and biggest smile. He and Graham are inseparable when at home. They love to play stuffed animals, cars, on the tramp, and wrestle. Nate is OBSESSED with card games. He absolutely loves them. He knows the rules more than I do. He could play them for hours and not get bored and he is actually really good at some tougher games! He enjoyed playing basketball and soccer this year. He has done really well at Kindergarten this year. With it being such a weird year I was worried, but he has handled things all so well! He is our best little hiker and one that complains the least. He is usually a pretty content kid that just rolls with the punches. He obviously has his moments, but he is such a chill kid. We love all that he adds to our family and the sweetness he adds. Happy birthday to our NATO!

My most favorite Skiing Trip to Date

We decided to cram in one last time skiing this year. So we headed off right after school one Thursday that we didn't have anything and decided to just go for a short while till it got too dark or the kids got too cold. Well, they did SOOOO good. It was the least complicated day. They jumped almost immediately back to where they were. The older 3 went straight up the hill and Dan went with Nate. Then he took turns taking Nate and then even Graham up the lift. Graham was feeling left out and HAD to try it. With Dan's snowboard he was able to use the backpack and get Graham down the hill. Nate got so good at it by the end that we paired them all up (Dan with Graham, Levi and Nate, and Makayla with Zack) and I sat at the bottom of the hill grinning as they all made it down! Next year I may be able to go down with my knee on the mend and the kids getting a little older/better. It was a great end to the ski season!
