We started off July 4th weekend down at the Hegerhorst family party. Grandma had the kids paint rocks, we played yard games, cherry pit spit, basketball on their new courts, and lit fireworks. As always they LOVE LOVE LOVE their cousins!
On July 4th I got up early to go for a run before we headed over to the Stevenson's. I was not in any particular hurry and even brought the dog along with me for a few miles (she is getting a little older and slower these days). But, towards the end I saw how close I was to running a half marathon so I thought, what the heck! So, here was my quarantined half marathon! I told Dan he should have made me a medal:) It was fun to run a little more throughout the quarantine days and having the time to do so. Dan and I were going in the mornings a couple times a week and having some fun with that.
That night our neighborhood put on one heck of a firework show. We just sat and watched from our porch. We had some leftover sparklers and poppers and sat out to watch all the neighbors light theirs off. It was a very fun exhausting day!
