Makayla-4 Years

Oh miss Makayla. This girl has been a little adventure lately! We call her 'lil mama' lately. She definitely likes to think she is the boss sometimes:) She also thinks she is old enough to do things that she probably shouldn't be (like picking up the baby)! She proves she is 4 going on 14 with a little flare of sass every now and then. She is also so tender and caring to her little brothers and her Millie. She loves to help take care of them, help Nate get his shoes on, Graham eat his food, and help mom do everything! She is such a social little bug and LOVES to play with anybody and everybody. We are lucky to have neighbors who ask if she can come play a few times a week. She just adores them. She has enjoyed preschool and I was surprised on Monday that she was hesitant to go. It wasn't preschool, she is struggling to leave mom sometimes. Primary is another one of those times! Makayla has been working so hard on her school. She loves her preschool homework, however the Upstart online program she is getting a tad tired of. She is hanging in there and does very well. I have been surprised at how much she has learned in a few short months. She knows all her letters and has made it through many sounds. She and I are working on some reading lessons and she is even starting to blend some words with some assistance. This girl likes to keep up with her brothers. She has been flying around on a balance bike for the last few months. Her cousin came to ride bikes with her last week and brought her little 12 inch bike. Makayla just took off on it! She is such a tough little cookie. We took all the kids in for her flu shot and she didn't even flinch. She was next to excited to show how tough she was, it was hilarious. She was tougher than her brothers! She loves everything girlie. She loves her lipstick, nail polish, and dolls. She loves to boss Nate around and she loves to help mom in the kitchen. She scrubbed dishes the other night and helps me cook often. She is so fun to be around and has the cutest giggle. We played hide-n-go seek the other night and she hid so well that it took a while for anyone to find her. She loves to have fun and it spreads to those around her. We love our little sass and couldn't imagine our family without her sweetness in it!
