On the 21st of August their was a total solar eclipse that passed across the entire US. The total eclipse was in Idaho near us, but we got a pretty good view! It got darker, like just before the sun goes down dark and a tiny bit cooler. The boys were in school and got to watch it from school. Zack's teacher even sent me a picture of him. We met Dan for lunch and sat on the grass at Costco and watched. It was neat! Things like that always amaze me! I took some photos through the glasses on my phone. While looking through it a lady stopped and asked me if it had begun. I offered my glasses to her and she turned them down due to her culture, as I talked to her I learned she was of the navajo culture. I went home to read about it. The tradition is that basically they respect the powerful sun and moon so much that if they look at it during an eclipse it could bring them bad luck. I do agree that they are amazing and very powerful! It was fun to see the progression!
