Our Zack turned 6 on the 11th! It was such a fun day and I will post more about that next. I just wanted to take a minute and write about Zack.
Zack is thriving in Kindergarten and is loving it! It is fun for mom to come and in and help in his class and see him. He is always trying to race everyone to finish everything first. He is constantly trying to keep up with Levi and is very competitive. It can be great and not so great! He is our easy going one who is can entertain himself for hours! He loves his time while the littles are napping and Levi is at school. He is also extremely passionate when he wants to be. If he wants to learn or do something he will do it. On the flip side, if he doesn't he doesn't! He is pretty strong willed this guy is! We love everything about him and can't imagine our family without him in it! He is so smart and so eager to learn and grow. He is working on reading the scriptures with Levi and I, and he doesn't actually read most of the time (even though he will tell you otherwise), but his dedication every night to do it is great! He loves when mom tries to stump him with math problems and loves to read! He is signed up to start soccer here in a month and he is very excited about that as well. His favorite part of his birthday was getting to choose everything we did and ate. He was mostly excited about the presents! Zack started into piano this past month and he LOVES it. He is caught practicing several times a day. He is very determined to learn new songs and it will serve him well. Hopefully he continues to have that strong dedication to his practicing. Zack loves his big brother and he lights up when he gets home and has his best friend to play with. They usually get along so well and it is so fun for them to have each other. I tell them that almost everyday! Now if only they would be a little more patient with the third wheel little lady who tries to join in their games.....sometimes they can be! Zack adores Nate and loves to try and make him giggle. He is my slow poke in the mornings and we are constantly trying to get creative in helping him get ready faster. He likes to take his time to eat his breakfast. I can't blame him, but somehow time is lost on this little guy. I wish we didn't have to be anywhere, believe me! We have resorted to getting dressed first and eating after, it helps him a little at least! I was telling Dan the other day that I think I needed a Zack. Life is so fast and we are running around crazy sometimes, and Zack is my reminder to stop and enjoy life a little bit more. He reminds me not to rush things and to stop and think. He has an amazing way of thinking things through and a strong imagination. He will stop and examine the car door just to see how it closes and opens. We may have a little engineer in the making. He amazes me when he opens up and lets me explore his thought process. He is such a blessing to us and I am so glad I have this little good reminder that life is worth living and not running past! Happy Birthday to my sweet sweet Zack!
