Moab Day 2

We started our day bright and early so we could make sure to get into the park. It had been pretty full most days and closed from about 9-2. With that in mind, we got up around 6 and got to see the sun rise on our way into our big hike of the day-Delicate Arch. It was a little chillier than we hoped so we just started off in hopes that it would get a little warmer! Kids did great hiking in. Graham was getting pretty cold at the top since the wind was a little gustier and he hadn't walked a ton on the way up to help keep him warm. He was so cold he wanted to ride in the backpack, but in the long run he would have kept warmer walking! So on our way back down he was getting a tad too chilly. Dan and the older boys did a little train run and got him to the car in no time. The rest of us made our way out and stopped at the petroglyphs really fast before finishing up. It was soooooo pretty and worth it, even if we were a little chilly!

We stopped at the bowl we took photos of as kids on the Hegerhorst side. Had to do a next generation shot! Good thing Bumpa was there to find it!!!

We stopped and hiked to the Sand Dune arch since it was a shorter one. This one had fun areas to climb.

Then we headed over to the Double Arch area. I can't remember the names of the few across from the Double arches, but the walk swung us by them.

Then we crossed the parking lot and headed to the Double Arch.

For our last stop we hit up Balancing Rock.

We made a stop at the Visitors Center since it was closed on our way in and got us our magnet for the trip.

After a little rest, we headed to a park to kill a little time before dinner. We ended the night with dinner, ice cream, and a little swim. It was a very successful day in Arches!
