Aquarium

We had a day off, so we took the kids to the aquarium. It had been awhile so it was fun to go again!

Valentines Day

With so many things going on in February, we were lucky to bust out our VDAY boxes this year. Kids had fun making baby Yoda and Levi and his toilet and poop emoji. Zack's box was such a hit I think he nearly unanimously won the award for best box in his class. Makayla got the cute Unicorn Valentines and heart hair since she didn't need to make a box this year. Nate also made a bag at preschool. I took my little Valentines to Kneaders in the morning and we picked up a heart shaped pizza for dinner for the kiddos with a decorated table with little Valentines. We love our little Valentines and it was fun celebrating with them. Dan and I were able to sneak out for dinner, which is always nice to get away from kids for a bit!

Zackary's 10th Birthday!

Zack had such a fun birthday. We went skiing the day before and with grandma there we opened a few presents and went out for his birthday dinner at the Habit. His favorite! On his birthday we checked him out and took him to lunch at Wendy's. After school we had some extra curriculars, but we got in some cake and ice cream and the rest of his presents. He even worked so hard at the Ukulele he got for his birthday and learned the Happy Birthday song to play for himself. Zack is such a good kid. He is the definition of determined. When he wants to learn or accomplish something, he does it. He has really jumped in and is starting to not only excel at reading, but now is developing a love of reading. His teacher says he could teach his class in math (and even him) since he just understands it. He loves to shoot hoops right now and will be outside shooting daily. He still loves to play soccer and gives 110% when he plays anything. We love his heart, his determination, and his sweet heart. Him and Levi are the best of friends and he loves to play big brother to the little kids. Works better when a screen is not on, since he still loves his electronics! He refuses to play piano...we are working on it. He is shy when you tease him about the girl or girls who have mega cruches on him in his class and blushes so hard. It is so funny! We love this kid and the fun he adds to our family. He is going far and you can tell!

Zack's Birthday Skiing!

We decided to go skiing for Zack's birthday activity. We went the day before his bday to prolong the weekend for Dan. It ended up being a perfect day! After a run or two down the bunny hill we headed up the lift. Makayla surprised us all with her fearlessness! She took a trip down the mountain with Dan going backward the entire time, but after that she had a good handle on it. By the end she was flying!!! Dan basically towards the end went with the boys and me and Makayla found the hill she liked (which was about my abilities by the way) and we went over and over! Such a fun day! Dan and I wore out before the kiddos. Thanks to grandma who stayed with the little boys, we were able to really spend the time skiing. The boys were even going off small hills and jumps towards the end and loved the freestyle run. Until next time!
