When the bishop's wife signed up to do an FHE at the Care Center and then found out her husband would be out of town, she was sweet enough to ask our family and the Anderson's to join her to do a nativity for the people living there. It is always a crazy time of year, and tracking down costumes, my amazing singing voice (since I knew most the kids would just stare around), and looking over the program were another thing added. But, it ended up being one of the highlights of our December. Dan led the program and the kids did great. I sang my guts out so they could hear us, and I didn't even care! They were so happy to see us. They gave my kids hugs and thanked them. Some of the ladies even gave them butterscotch candies. Graham may have had to go potty twice while I was trying to coordinate kids for the program, but we made it. And it was worth all the effort. It was a great reminder of the meaning of the season. And it was a great was to show our kids the rewards of serving. My cute nativity actors:
