We had to get away. We were feeling like our summer was dedicated to getting the yard in and we just had to put it on a pause for one last adventure before school started. So we headed up the canyon for a little camping! The kids had been asking to go all summer. We got there about 10 o'clock on a Thursday to get our spot. It ended up being a great time to go considering we had no reservation. We got into the campground we wanted and got a big spot with lots of privacy and exploring room. Much better than last time! We bought some tubes and headed over to Pineview Reservoir after setting up our stuff. The kids had fun picnicking and floating around on the tubes. When Graham got little tired, we loaded back in and headed back up to the campground. There is a river that runs through the campground that was high enough to float down, so we took turns floating down the river. I think that was the kids favorite! Afterwards we made some tinfoil dinners, played games, and made some smores. The kids slept well that night considering we had all 7 of us and Millie in the tent! They didn't wake up till 7:30 too! We ate and packed up and headed off to do a short hike. I think it was Songbird something at the base of Ogden Canyon. It was actually pretty shady and a fun little hike. It was a good end to a fun adventure! Camping is a lot of work, but its worth it for at least one night!!!
