For Fall Break we headed to St. George. We were sooooo looking forward to a break from school, work, sports, Dan's school, scouts....ok life. We were ready for some serious family fun! That it was!
On the way down we stopped at the Red Rocks waterfall hike. It is short and was dried up, but the the leafs were beautiful and the kids had fun running and exploring! Afterwards we checked out the condo, which besides not having near enough toilet paper, it was really nice! We got some grub, hit up a store, and put the kids to bed. Grandma, Grandpa, and the Hegerhorst family joined us later that night.
The next day we hit up the Lava Rocks and the Sand dunes. It was a good little hike for some of our short legs. The Sand dunes were a gigantic hit. Probably their favorite activity of the entire trip. The could have spent hours there.
The next day we went to dig up some gypsen. There were WAY TOO MANY people there for it being in the boonies, but they had fun hunting for diamonds. Afterwards we went and shot dad's gun. Let's just say the girls were slightly better aims then the more experienced guys!!!!HA!!!
After more swimming and dinner we put them to bed. Another great day. The next day we went to church. We ran into our cousins there. Small world! Afterwards, we went to an awesome park and then hiked Dixie Rock. It was such a fun vacation and came at a great time. We always love going to St. George!
These kids love their cousins and Makayla was so cute with Garrett:)
