Our "Camping" Experience

So, we have our ward campout this weekend, but I had a last minute desire to go camping last weekend. With little to no time to plan it just did not pan out. We had attended girls camp on Thursday night to for bishopric night and got home really late, so it just was not planned with enough time! Girls camp sure brought back some memories from when I went! It was fun to be up there without kids and enjoy the testimony meeting that they had. When I got back though it made me want to camp even more. So our compromise was setting up the tent in the backyard! The kids LOVED it. After the boys fell asleep it started to rain and thunder outside. When the lightening came we decided to move them indoors! When they woke up Saturday morning they were both upset that they were still not in the tent. Zack with an upset look said, "I wanted to sleep in the tent the WHOLE time!" Levi said, "I don't even remember you taking me inside!"

 Setting up their beds!

We played card games for a bit before bed.
So for 5 days our city was on a water advisory due to someone cross connecting the secondary water with the drinking water. This caused some positive Ecoli tests. Blah! So we lived off boiled and bottled water for 5 days. Luckily we could still run the dishwasher, shower (as long as you did not eat it, which was a little tricky with the kids), and do laundry.
Saturday night to finish off our camping experience with a fire. That was of course after a swimming trip to the Stevenson's and a quick trip to the outlets in Park City. We asked to borrow the neighbors fire pit, and they decided to join us! It was a fun night with fun friends and a great end to the weekend!
