Ogden Temple Open House

Today we went to the Ogden temple open house. The kids were excited to go in the temple. It did not disappoint! It was a beautiful temple. The kids did well considering the huge number of people going through today! It was a neat experience and we were glad that the Johnson's, Krista, and Grandma and Grandpa could join us!

Makayla's favorite thing was the fountain and the flowers!
Afterwards we got some ice cream at Farr's across the road.

1st Day of 1st Grade!

And so it begins! Levi started 1st Grade this morning. His school now starts at 8:15 so we had to get a good jump start on the day since we had to leave by 7:50. He has early out and will only go till 12:45 for the 1st 2 days, thanks heavens. I think they did that just for me to cushion me into all day. He still seems so little to go that long! He can handle it, just don't know if I can:)!
He had his daddy's blessing last night in preparation for school.
This morning we had our traditional pop-tarts. Yup, the healthiest food for the first day of school! We added an orange julius for good measure!

He was so excited and mom was extremely glad that he got in the same class as his buddy Burke
Sign says Mrs. Hotelling- 1st Grade

Good luck buddy! We will miss you and know that you will have so much fun at school!

Popsicles!

I loved how popsicles brought out personality with these pictures. It was too cute!

A little out of focus, but it was my favorite one!

Love these 3 silly kiddos of mine!

Our week of activities!

This past week we met Grandma, Kellie, and kids at Kangaroo Zoo in Ogden. We had not been to that one yet and the kids loved it! Afterwards we had lunch and hung out at our house. It was a fun day!
Friday night we headed up to our ward campout. The boys slept there and Makayla and I drove home around 10 that night. It was fun to be with friends and the boys could camp out in a tent every night if I let them!

Random play at our house. Levi drug these two around the tile for a good 45 minutes one morning. Makayla loved it!
Yesterday we hit up the Planes 2 movie with the Johnson's for a rainy afternoon activity. We are on our last day of summer before school starts. AHHHHHH!

Our "Camping" Experience

So, we have our ward campout this weekend, but I had a last minute desire to go camping last weekend. With little to no time to plan it just did not pan out. We had attended girls camp on Thursday night to for bishopric night and got home really late, so it just was not planned with enough time! Girls camp sure brought back some memories from when I went! It was fun to be up there without kids and enjoy the testimony meeting that they had. When I got back though it made me want to camp even more. So our compromise was setting up the tent in the backyard! The kids LOVED it. After the boys fell asleep it started to rain and thunder outside. When the lightening came we decided to move them indoors! When they woke up Saturday morning they were both upset that they were still not in the tent. Zack with an upset look said, "I wanted to sleep in the tent the WHOLE time!" Levi said, "I don't even remember you taking me inside!"

 Setting up their beds!

We played card games for a bit before bed.
So for 5 days our city was on a water advisory due to someone cross connecting the secondary water with the drinking water. This caused some positive Ecoli tests. Blah! So we lived off boiled and bottled water for 5 days. Luckily we could still run the dishwasher, shower (as long as you did not eat it, which was a little tricky with the kids), and do laundry.
Saturday night to finish off our camping experience with a fire. That was of course after a swimming trip to the Stevenson's and a quick trip to the outlets in Park City. We asked to borrow the neighbors fire pit, and they decided to join us! It was a fun night with fun friends and a great end to the weekend!

Makayla's 15 month stats

Well our little lady had her 15 month checkup this week. Her stats were:
Height- 29.21 in 12%
Weight- 20.77 lb 16%
Head-18.4in 71%

She is more petite than my boys. She has mastered the walking and is walking all over the place. She has started to copy everything you do. She will laugh with everyone, try to kick soccer balls when the boys are practicing soccer, wave, blow kisses, point at your nose, stick out her tongue, and more. She is starting to understand the command, come here. She loves the stairs, but still has not quite mastered those yet! She has started to try to say several words. Most have the d sound in them. She always will say "Dada," especially in the middle of sacrament meeting while pointing at Dan on the stand! She says, "Ah Da" for all done. She says, "Dow" for down. She still shakes her head for "no." It is the cutest when she excitedly starts talking to you with such enthusiasm like you should know what she is saying:) She loves to read books and play anything than involves taking things out of something and putting them back in. She is obsessed with water and is always trying to climb in the tub. She loves any noodle meal and pounds down more noodles than I eat when we do have it. She loves to point at airplanes in the sky and riding her bike. She is getting pretty good at scooting around on that thing. She loves running around on the tramp too. She is getting so fun and we love how interactive she is right now. She wants to be involved with the boys so much she runs up behind them and throws her arms around their legs or waists and hugs them. She is pretty much down to 1 nap most days lately but that can always change... She has grown fond of the blanket Grandma made her and always wants to hold it and snuggle it when she sees it. She will walk over and lay down on it when she sees it. Such a fun age and I know she will be a little sponge from here on out learning new things everyday.

Summer Updates

Well, I will try to catch up from a few events. I have failed to take pictures at several as well! This past weekend we headed down to Saratoga Springs for a date night. We left the kids with Grandma and went to a movie with Kellie and McKay and Krista. It was a good movie and a fun night! Grandma and Grandpa even survived putting 5 kids to bed! The next day we went to Seven Peaks in Provo and I did not get a single picture...
But, here are a few randoms from the past few weeks.

Makayla is all over the place now and want to copy everything everyone does. So she was trying to water the flowers like mom was.
Watching the boys at first jump on the tramp in the sprinklers
However, she wanted to join them! She loved it!
 Playing at the park.

 Watching a movie
Helping aunt Krista and adopted aunt Mary Lou move. The kids were amazing little movers.
Going to see the 2nd Planes movie with the cousins.
Boys have been working hard to earn money for an the Xbox game they want called Skylanders. They have been doing several chores a day for a few weeks and they are almost there!

We hit up the zoo last week with the Johnson's and our neighbors. It rained a little that morning and made for a very nice day at the Zoo. The animals were out and we saw almost all the shows. It was one we will be doing again soon!
