It has been quite the week or so! We have had some great things happen this month and I really feel extremely blessed.
Jeff and Tammy got engaged on Valentines Day, since the week or so before he got reinstated and got his golden ticket (his recommend)! It was one of the neatest experiences for me and our family. That next weekend or so Dan went on the Klondike campout. The kids and I were so excited when he got home on Saturday!!!
I had to post a picture of my boys. They had the entire couch but they had to sit next to each other, and they (if they can) like to wear the same shirts. They are like twins and I love it!
Miss Makayla lost her binky at the store so we had to get some new ones, I don't think she minded!

While Dan was gone I took the kids to Lowes to do their workshop. I made it thanks to the cute Grandpa next to me who stopped me from making a huge mistake at the beginning!
That Sunday after Dan got home he made us breakfast. Yup, I think I am pretty lucky!
Levi has had a good week at school. They had their readathon and because their school read so many minutes, a JAZZ player came to the school. They had Brandon Rush come. He was so excited to go back to school in the afternoon to see the JAZZ player! Levi's been working on reading a lot these past few months, and his teacher popped her head out of the door the other day when I was picking up Levi and told me, "Levi was so excited today. He came up to me and asked me what reading level he was on. When I told him F his face was priceless! He was so excited!" The levels start ABCDEF ect. He has worked so hard and when he came out the doors he said, "MOM! I am on level F!!!!" We are proud of our hard worker!

The weather has been nice and since I am trying to be creative in my running, we ran to the park (well I ran and pushed the younger 2 and Levi rode his bike). They loved having a week of Spring weather! Hope it stays!

We had another neat family time as we headed down Saturday to Salt Lake for our nephew Joseph's baptism. I can't believe he is 8 already! It was fun to see the Burkholder side, it feels like it has been awhile since we have seen some of them! We stopped by Bonnie and Matt's home to see it before heading to IKEA. We decided to extend our stay a little longer and invited ourselves over to Andrew and Kim's house. We went out to eat at Red Robin and played in their new basement now that it is finished!

The boys got bed lamps from IKEA and they were so excited to use them! We have been giving them 10min to wind down at night and read quietly before bed for the last couple weeks, so this was fun for them!
Zack has been trucking along with his reading lessons. He is on lesson 28 of 100. I am not pushing him but he loves it and he is grasping it way fast! He blends words so easily and I did not expect that at all. Today he read, "an ant us fat. It can sit and eat." Way to go Zacky!
Yesterday, we had a little bit of a change to say the least. We got called to meet with the Stake President earlier in the week. So, we were brain storming for a few days on what the new calling was going to be. I was so nervous of going on the trek and leaving Makayla, thought it might be elders quorum. Which seemed odd since Dan JUST got called into YM. Well, Dan is now 2nd Couselor in the Bishopric! The funny thing was that we both had this specific guy pop into our head, but didn't want to say it for fear of being true! Well, it was him that got released. Dan had to get set apart as a High Priest, so he decided on his brother Adriel. We were worried of the timing with getting some family there, but the Stake President looked at us and all he said was, you call them and you will see how it all comes together. Well, it just so happens that Adriel, a bishop, who is usual to busy on Sundays was having a family day. My parents were on their way back from Logan, and Dan's mom was in town and able to come. It all worked out! It was a day full of mixed emotions, nervous, excited, scared, and also one of complete peace, happiness, and full of the Spirit. When I was asked if I sustained Dan in this calling, there was no hesitation when I said, "Yes." Dan is an amazing guy. One of the Stake Presidency members, our neighbor, explained him as this: A very humble and teachable man. Which the Lord needs. He is this and many more things. He knows his priorities and he knows what is important. We are blessed for this opportunity to serve. I know our family will be blessed with Dan being gone serving our ward. I have faith that he can do it and that we can too. Dan is nervous and I know that once he gets his feet wet and starts getting involved his nerves will calm down a bit. As they sustained him in church, he replaced the other 2nd Counselor on the stand. Levi was in tears. He loves his dad so much and it was hard for him to know that he could not sit by him. This truly is a change for our ENTIRE family and one we are most willing to make. We were blessed to have family schedules pan out and some last minute additions to our house last night for dinner to support us. Andrew's family and Jeni and kids came up and joined us for dinner. It was almost funny how we were prepared down to little things for this day. The simple fact that I went shopping the day before and bought 2 roasts instead of 1, which we typically won't need is just an example. Or the fact that Makayla had no nap and Jeni showed up right as I was headed to wake her up to go back to the church, so she was able to sit with her while she slept and I went back of the blessings. I truly saw the Lord's hand in the little things yesterday!

We did have a couple incidents, that my bandaids were all used up! My mom stepped on a water cover outside and fell through causing a good bruise and scrap down her leg! Within minutes Levi was trying to get a drink and a glass cup that was not placed in the cupboard right fell and shattered and a shard cut Makayla in the toe! It bled quite a bit for such a small cut! Besides those things it was such a great great day! Now off to our next adventure, preparing for Bryce Canyon this weekend!
