We headed down the night of the 3rd. With not a great night sleep we started off the 4th going to Monsters University. Levi got a little nervous at one part, but he claimed he did not get scared after:) They both loved it! After some naps we had a family BBQ, a trip to the park, and some fireworks. Later that night we headed to the Thanksgiving Point fireworks. Levi loved the fireworks and Zack did not so much. Well he liked them from a distance! He would mostly observe from a distance with his hands over his ears!
This is how Makayla was the whole time during the fireworks!
My nervous little man. Practically forced him to hold it so he would see that it would not hurt him. He still was cautiously holding it.
This was his face during the big ones!
Once again covering his ears at the Thanksgiving Point fireworks that night. Zack kept saying, "I don't like this party, can we go home now?" However, when the green ones popped he would say,"That ones my favorite!" And when we were done I asked if he like it and he would say, "Yes!"
Levi drinking his snow cone as fast as he could:)
Friday, Dan went golfing with dad (Andrew was supposed to but fractured his elbow right before the 4th!). We hung out at home and while kids were supposed to be sleeping, Mom and I (and Makayla) met Krista at the outlet mall and walked around, followed by a treat!:)
That afternoon we went swimming at the Lehi Rec Center. It was a fun one! Levi was brave enough to go down the dark big slide by himself, but cried at the end. They thought there was no lap sitting...but there is. Anyways, he yelled Daddy on his way down several times but still had faith that Dan was waiting for him at the bottom. He sure does trust and love his daddy!
This is my angel baby who seems to sleep through most everything!
We had a pizza party following the huge lightening and thunder storm!
Saturday, we headed to Home Depot to do the kids workshop. It was Despicable Me 2, a car with minions in it:)
After playing at the park by my parents and packing up we headed to lunch with DeeAnn and Kent. It was great to see them and Levi loves his rides!
That evening we had a neighbors party we went to. Well, that did not go as planned. Their whole yard was decked out in the 4th of July attire and it looked great. It did not even last until everyone was there. The storm hit hard and fast. Unfortunately, the canopy we inherited (bought them a new one) after breaking our neighbors at Makayla's blessing, was part of this disaster and pretty much snapped in half. We used it a big one time! You should have seen Dan and I when the wind started to blow. After spending money for pretty much 2 canopies we ran and grabbed ours that they borrowed as fast as we could since another one tore across the yard. We tried so hard but the second we grabbed the poles the wind pulled the top so hard they bent and snapped. Lost cause! They ended up being able to move the party to the church so we did stay for dinner. But, headed home a little prematurely because of the delay and some tired kids (and maybe a little angry about our canopy)!Sunday we headed down to the Stevenson's so we could get these 3 little girlies together! Still can't believe they are only 2 weeks apart! It was so cute seeing them all wiggling and cooing next to each other!
We finished off some leftover fireworks after finally finishing and watching our family reunion DVD. What a fun weekend and it is always sad when it comes to an end!
Now off to work on someones birthday party!!!!!
