Everytime we cross the railroad tracks or drive down the freeway the boys catch site of the Frontrunner, aka the train. We have told them, "someday maybe we will ride it," for long enough. We decided to ride the Frontrunner to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a sleepover!
The boys were so excited about every part. Buying the tickets, watching for the train, seeing the train, boarding the train, riding on the top, and were excited for about 20 more minutes. Then began the question, "Are we there yet?" They did great still with food and some entertainment but it was a tad on the long side. The way back seemed for some reason a lot shorter! Probably just the excitement of getting there made it seem longer! It took about an hour and 20 minutes to get down to American Fork.
Once we got there the boys were greeted by Grandma who picked us up. Then at the house, Jeni and Andrew's families and Krista! We grilled and headed to the park. We brought a kite down with us and it was perfect kite flying weather!
The next day we headed out to Cabella's followed by lunch and Scheels. I had never been to Scheels before so that was fun!
Probably the 2nd worst picture of me being pregnant. Maybe because I am standing next to skinny Kim! Or because I am crouched forward weird...Ferris Wheel. Zack was too scared to ride it. He probably would have loved it if we made him, but sometimes it is not worth the battle! Someday he will realize what he is missing out on:)
Mini bowling.
Zack celebrating that he hit down some pins!
That evening after dinner we jumped back on the Frontrunner and headed home. It was an eventful and adventure filled weekend and we are going to take advantage of the last few as a family of 4!
