Burkholder Family Reunion-Bear Lake 2012

On Tuesday July 3rd we headed up to Bear Lake for the Burkholder Family Reunion. All the family was there minus Hans, Jenn, and Meg. 32 of us stayed in a cabin by the lake.
We got there fairly late on the 3rd so we had dinner and hung out until bed.
On the 4th we headed to the beach! The boys loved the sand. They spent most of the time digging, burying, throwing, rolling, building, and anything you can think of in the sand.

We did have wave runners for the week so we were able to ride them a lot. Levi and Zack rode on them a few times. Zack was nervous but did okay. Levi was so excited about them but would not let you drive faster than 25mph. He would beg to go back if it got too bumpy:)

The boys took naps on the beach. Zack would sleep for 2 hours in the middle of everything. Kids would be digging holes right by his head and he would still be out. Must be the sun!
The cabin was big and had a fun yard. Levi loves his cousins!

After the beach we had yard games. Deb had a bunch of games for the kids. Bubble bottles, egg drops, bing bag toss and more.

Zack and Levi both loved the teeter-totter in the back yard. However, Levi always wanted it to be Adelaide on the other side:)

On the 5th we headed to MInnetonka Cave. We had to wait an hour to get our big group in but the kids did great and had fun. They were nervous of the dark, especially when the tour guide turned the lights off at the end of the cave. Levi flipped his headlight back on and Zack cried. Then proceed to yell, "Lights, lights, lights...on!

Zack was obsessed with the air hockey table. He would play it for an hour straight! Every time he scored, even if it was in his own goal he would yell proudly, "I did it!"
That evening we had the family talent show. The boys sang and danced to "Set Fire To The Rain." Of course:)
We loved Adriel's families. They wore black clothes and taped glow sticks on in the shape of stick figures. Then we turned out the lights and they danced. It was great!
On the 6th we headed back to the beach for another day in the sun. The boys once again ran around like crazy in the sand.

Daddy and uncle Joel helped build a sweet sand castle.

We headed home and had a family picture that night. As soon as I get ahold of it I will post it! I did take this picture of Adelaide and David while waiting. I thought it turned out super cute.
We had a blast and it was hard to come back to real life! On to the next summer adventure!
