I Feel Like The Luckiest Mom EVER

Maybe it is the coming of mother's day that inspired this blog or the simple fact that the boys are growing so fast! We went to another park today (we have been to one almost everyday this week!), and I was just thinking about how big they are and how much they learn and grow every week. I have been trying to write in their journals every Sunday to keep up with their changes. So I decided to dedicate this blog to a little bit about each of them. I LOVE being a mom so much and have enjoyed the last month or so of lots of time with just my boys! They teach me so much everyday and I am so glad to have the opportunity to have them in our home. I am a lucky girl!

Zackary

Zack is almost 15 months old now. He is such a little boy now. He is so independent, I feel a little lost sometimes when I don't have to carry him around anymore! He is so physically active! The other day I was getting Levi dressed and I turned the corner to find Zack standing on top of the toilet! He loves to climb everything. He has been trying to walk up the stairs instead of crawl. He can get himself up and down off the couch. He loves to dance, which includes copying his brother's dance moves. This usually ends up with spinning in circles so fast he falls over. He is very good at copying you and obeying commands. He will jump if you tell him to and copies all sorts of actions to songs. He now says the words, "up," "done," "mama," "dada," "nono," "uh-oh," and that is it I think. He signs the words, "more," "milk," "done," "hungry," and "please." He nods his head yes when you ask him if he wants something you are pointing at. He loves to throw things at this stage in his life. We have busted open sippies on a daily basis and food all over around his chair at meal times. We also have busted open lips as a regular occurrence too. Levi went through this stage and I hope the fearless stage ends quick! He is obsessed with climbing their bunk bed ladder and will just go up and down, up and down, and up and down for as long as you will let him. He has all his teeth but the canines. Thankfully those gosh dang molars finished coming in. He gives the sweetest hugs and kisses and is such a cuddle bug. He loves to watch tv shows and would all day if I let him, which I don't:) He plays cars with Levi and tries to do just about anything Levi does. They lately like to throw all the coushons off our couch and jump off the couch into them. Zack will try it right after Levi! He eats way more than Levi right now. He is a huge explorer and off on his own most of the time. He is so much fun to play with and he loves to wrestle!
He obviously loves jello!
running so fast he fell over
throwing rocks in the water to trick the ducks into thinking we had bread:)
Hitting the baseball like he saw Levi do!
Love my Zack attack!
Levi

Levi will be 3 in July. I always think he is 3 already because he acts like such a big kid! He is an amazing older brother and every day he is getting out of those stinky two year old phases and makes me smile at the sweet kid that he is. Every time I give him something to eat he makes sure I give him one for Zacky and then he runs it over to him. Lately he has turned into moms copy cat. For instance, if I tell him to be super careful with the scissors because they could cut you, the next time I am using the scissors he will say, "Mom, be super careful with the scissors so they don't cut you!" Or he will boss Zack around and tell him not to spill his sippy on the floor or you might slip on the water! He says such funny things now too, I really get a kick out of it! He will be spinning or dancing and hit the wall and say loudly, "Mom! I hurt myself! Maybe I should not do that anymore." When he sits on the potty doing his number two he says, "Mom don't touch my poop, it is a yucky poop." The other day he had a little accident in his pants because he could not take them off fast enough. When I went to check on him he tried to cover my eyes and said, "Mom don't look, I don't want to make you sad." He is by far the most tender hearted kid I have seen! He really is run by emotions. If you tell him things make you sad he gets this hurt look on his face and comes to give you a huge hug and kiss. I love that this works because now even if he accidentally knocks Zack down he apologizes and tries to help him up! We are making a break through! YAY! He loves to dance, and jump off of things. Needless to say, he is a very active boy! We got him a nerf gun this week and he went up to Dan and said, "Dad can I shoot you?" Dan replied, "Yes, but not in the head. We don't ever shoot people in the head with that." Levi then responded, "Okay, it is okay so don't be scared!" He currently will say, "Did you see that?"at everything he does or sees and then laughs hysterically! Half the time I just answer yes because he says it a lot! He is so good at helping me clean up and loves to sweep the floors. I finally have a helper to grab things for Zack like binky, blankets, or throwing diapers away. He is a such a cute kid and really teaches me so much.

Enjoying the jello squares dad made them!
Such a goof
Saying, "Peek-a-boo" from behind the tree
laughing at himself after
I can't believe he is almost three. I LOVE my sweet Levi squivi!
