Birthday Celebration!

Levi had a family party this year, we settled on one every other year. Well that and he has been begging to have one like Zack who also had a family one this year! So... we decided to have it Monday evening, the night before his birthday since dad had church meetings all night on his birthday! We prepared that day by making his cupcakes!
He chose to eat at his favorite, Pizza Pie Cafe! We were lucky to have the Johnson's join us! Have I said how much I LOVE having them so close!!! I am thinking it will and should become permanent!

He wanted to drive go-carts for the activity, but only if he could drive. Apparently he needs to grow 3 more inches for everywhere that has go-carts. So, his next vote was golfing. The driving range was closed unfortunately and it was windy, so we settled on a little putt putt practicing!

Afterwards, we headed to the house for his favorite, presents and cupcakes!
Mack was dancing in his seat he was so excited to give Levi his present!

My handsome boy and apparently mom did good this year because he said he got everything he ever wanted!
 Time for the goodies!

His favorite present...his Ninjago Lego mini figures.

 Glad the Johnson's came!
On Levi's actual birthday, we headed out on our date. We give the kids some money for not doing a friend party and let them pick out a toy at the store. Well, not really a shocker, but Levi chose Legos! Following that we stopped by Grandma Johnson's for some swimming with the Johnson's!

After lunch with dad we came home and opened up his Legos. They spent 2 hours putting them together (with pretty much no help, except helping find pieces), and another 2 hours playing with them. These boys and their Legos!

Happy Birthday to my big handsome and sweet 6 year old. We are so lucky to have him in our family!

Hegerhorst Family 4th Celebration

On our way back from Brian Head on the 5th, we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's for the Hegerhorst Party. It was so stinking hot, and I happened to have water balloons in my car, so Kim and I filled them up. We started with some games and then let them go at it! The 2-3 minute water balloon fight was way too funny and the kids had a blast. They were squishing them on each others's heads and they were all laughing so hard. It was great!

They were all wet, so we threw their clothes in the dryer and all the boys went down to watch a movie in the theater room. Every time you ripped the blanket off the boys screamed and giggled because they were in their undies. Super funny!
Zack was not terribly wet, but he had to take his pants off too to fit in!
After homeade pizzas we did fireworks. We are awesome and don't even wait until it is even close to dark:)

 The big finale!

WE ended with homeade ice-cream before heading home. It was a fun stop and a good end to a great vacation! Loved being in my own bed but it is always hard to end a vacation. I guess that means I better start planning the next one!

Burkholder Brian Head Reunion Part 2

Thursday, we decided to ride the Navajo Ski lift up and hike down.

Throughout the hike there were places you could stop and hunt for rocks. The hill naturally had Agate all over the place.
Stopping for lunch!
Sifting through the sand to find Geods and teeth fossils

 panning for gold

On the 4th, Friday, we borrowed McKay's parents four-wheelers and took them out for a spin. Then it started hailing so we stayed in the rest of the afternoon!

That night we went up the hill by McKay's parents cabin and watched the fireworks.

Saturday, we packed up and headed out! We love our family and as always we can't wait till the next reunion!

On our way out we stopped by to visit Kellie and family. We redid some of the hike we did and looked for more rocks! Love that they were down there and we could see them too!
