Burkholder Brian Head Family Reunion Part 1

On our way down that Tuesday we had some time to kill so we stopped at Cove Fort. I had not been there for a long time and Dan had never been, so it was fun to see it! The boys loved "The Fort!"

After we all arrived we unpacked and had dinner. Followed by a quick get to know you game. Then we hit the sack!
Wednesday we got going pretty early and drove down to Kanarraville and did the hike to the falls. We had the Stevenson's, the Hill's, Jeff and Tamee, and Bada join us. It was probably my favorite part of the trip! The kids LOVED hiking through the water and the natural water slide at the end. It was a tough hike, but it was very pretty. The kids almost made the entire almost 4 mile hike with little help at the end.

Catchup Time

In not necessarily chronological order, here are some randoms to catch me up a bit.

My monkeys on the bed!

Our dollar store science projects. The kids have loved checking on their lizards everyday to see how big they are getting! (takes a few days to get full grown)

Miss who frantically points at things she wants!  She gets quite excited about it too!
Levi wrote this and asked me to send it to dad. It says, "Levi and Zack made sum cool thing DAD do you want to cum."
Miss Makayla discovered our stairs. We have been practicing hard to master them. The sooner the better!

 We started our fence!
Went bowling with the neighbor boys!

We headed back there again, the Syracuse Fun Center, with Grandma and Kellie and kids. That place is too much fun and once again it did not disappoint!

 Go-Karts!
Before heading to the Family Reunion we hit up the Provo Seven Peaks. Most of the rides were closed at the beginning but they still had fun!

Today we went to a splash pad with Kellie and kids (told you these will be way out of order, but I have a ton to put on here!). The kids loved it until it got busy, then kids kept plowing them over.

Our Carazy Fun Week!

We had a week full of fun activities!
Monday, they had a friend over and drew our neighborhood on the driveway so they could drive around!
Tuesday, we went to the Syracuse Fun Center. The kids had a blast with their friends on the bounce houses, the nerf blaster room, and the arcade games!

Wednesday, we went to the zoo with the Johnson's. McKay had an interview down there so we joined them! We inherited a pass so we will be visiting again soon! The kids loved it as always.

Thursday, the Johnson's came to our house. We rode bikes and hit up the snow cone shack.

 My little helper...
Friday we started closing in our fence. We got the holes measured and dug and a few posts placed. We had the Stevenson's and Bada stop by that evening so we got a much needed break to hang out with them!
Saturday, we hit up Seven Peaks in the morning. The kids were so excited to FINALLY make it there this summer!

We headed home in the afternoon and worked on the fence the rest of the day. We got all the post in!!! Fun and busy busy week!

Goodbye First Home

(This is the only picture I had with full resolution!)

I wanted to say for journal sake, farewell to our townhome in AZ. We bought it the fall before Zack was born, October 2009. We lived in it till August 2011. We have rented it out since. We decided it was a good time to sell it when our tenants lease was up this year, and found out we would be selling it a little sooner than we thought since she only signed 9 month instead of a year (we were never informed of this switch!). So, we jumped on the market in April, and were under contract within a week. It went so smoothly even down to the realtor we chose. She happened to be an aunt of a neighbor down in Mesa, who recently sold their townhome as well. We officially closed at the beginning of June. It was our first home we bought, not really all that sad to say goodbye, but still had some good memories there. Very good ones! As we were signing our closing documents at the bank the notary was just watching as Dan and I sifted threw the papers, reading, signing, and meanwhile our 3 kids by our ankles on the floor. When we finished she gathered up the papers and said, "I just wanted you to know, while I was watching, I was super impressed by how well you two work together. I just thought you should know." I am pretty sure I love that lady, and yes we are getting to a point where I feel like he can read my mind! Just joking! It was a nice complement and I was taken back by how sincere she was. I am blessed to have someone who complements me so well and that is so easy to work with!
So long to our first home, you treated us well!
