January Randoms

Makayla's teacher gave them giant doughnuts for doing some school work challenges over Christmas Break. It was ginormous!!!
We went out to the Pizza Factory with the Anderson's on a slow cold weekend night. Lots of cute kiddos!

We decided with another ski day in the calendar to inherit some kids ski equipment. It took a few trips around all of Utah...jk...but, we did it! Hoping it'll bring us a few trips a year of fun skiing in the future since we won't have to rent/borrow anymore. We have been lucky enough to have the Stevenson's to save us a ton in the past or I don't think we would have gone at all!
Anki tracks have been the latest rage. Kids have a blast combining their tracks and making a big track.
Levi got a challenge from a teacher to finish a Rubik's cube, and if they did they could keep it. Well, he took it very seriously. And 2 days later he could finish it without the cheat sheet. And then because it's just how they are. Zack soon followed.

Handsome little man
New Haircuts. Graham got to visit his preschool for next year. He was a tad nervous thinking mom was going to leave him, but he got a little more excited after the visit. I think eventually he will love it!

Sledding

The Anderson's invited us to go sledding. With having barely any snow this year, our answer was a fast YES! Almost all of Syracuse was there to start off, but since we went late in the day, a lot headed out and we were soon only a handful left there. Kids always have a blast together. They got creative and did some pretty funny chains and races. It was a nice way to enjoy the snow and get out for a bit! Graham and Nate ran up and down over and over. They were a tad crazy and I don't think they took anyone out....Makayla sent herself off some massive jumps with a few face plants. It was too funny!

Get Air

With an added Tuesday off for the holiday weekend, we hit up Get Air. It was a tad busy up front with toddler time going on, but soon cleared out a hair. Kids didn't even notice and had a blast. It is nice when they hit ages that I just get to watch:) Makayla had fun working on her back flips and tumbling tricks.

Bird Refuge

The kids had an extended Martin Luther King weekend, so we bugged dad to take a lunch outing with us. We grabbed some lunch and walked around the Bird Refuge. It is about 1.5 around and a fun walk. We saw a handful of hawks and some owl pellets (we learned what they were from aunt Jeni's Christmas present). It was a nice outing!

Skiing

We were a tad nervous bringing ALL 5 kids skiing this year. We like to go at least once during the year and the older kids look forward to it every year. This was a first time for both Graham and Nate and Makayla has only gone once. With my leg still not 100% I was a little nervous to ski myself. Well, with a slow to start hour or two making them all stick to the bunny hill, I was so happy with how well they did! After that Dan was free to take the older kids up the lift. Nate picked it up after a handful of runs and was able to get himself up and around. At that point he just would go around and around and around. He got so good and fast by the end, we wanted to take him up the big hill, but Dan in skis was way less confident than Dan in a snowboard, so we decided to take him up next time. Graham took some convincing to keep his restrictive skis on. Then he put on his ski backpack and would let you go a few feet in front of him and help him down. Then he let you go a little further in front of him. Then I started to run down the hill behind him. After a few hours, he took the backpack strings off and I started running down in front of him and he would go down alone. There is nothing cuter than tiny skiers!!! I went up the lift and down with Makayla twice before my leg was not happy. I was happy to spend the time at the bunny hill seeing how well the little two were doing and how much they loved it! When I asked Graham if he wanted to do 2 more before we left (after 6 hours) he said, "No! 20 more!!!" Needless to say, they loved it and we were definitely excited to take them again after a successful day. Levi and Zack picked it right up and after a trip or two down with dad, we pretty much just let them go at it. They went up and down probably more than 20 times before we left. It was a great day! Definitely had its moments requiring patience, but so worth it!
