Smiles!

There are lots of smiles in this house lately!

Zack is always trying to make Nate smile. He loves to take care of his little brother!

And this kid gives tons and tons of them these days! Hard to catch them on camera though! Nothing sweeter than those first smiles:)

Going Ons Update

One of the boys stole my phone, but this one turned out cute:)
Just showing off his big hands! Our little basketball player will be able to palm a ball in no time!
Our crazy spring weather. Shorts in the morning, snow in the afternoon. Shorts the next day!

Silly girls cuddling on the snowy day!
He smiles all the time now and it is just too cute! We love our little Nater bug!
Showing off his roles:) He is putting on the pounds quickly!
 Big boy!
Kindergarten round-up with this cute guy! He was so excited and loved that it was HIS thing. Levi's old teacher walked up and told me how cute and well behaved my kids were. Made me feel like I can handle these 4!
Then the next week Makayla decides to open her new toy kitchen door a little too hard and hit herself in the eye scratching it really good! Taking 4 kids to instacare for 2 hours makes you feel like your kids are most definitely NOT the best behaved:) They did good considering. She spent 5 hours that day  barely being able to hold her eye open for brief periods. It looked like she had just poked it for most the day. Finally by 4 I could not take how sad she looked and we took her in. They would have numbed it and put a patch on for 24 hours, but she would not keep it on. So, we got the eye drops, which is a little slower to heal, but would keep it clean and prevent further irritation while it healed!

Zack had a preschool fieldtrip to the Ice Cream parlor. They got to watch them make the ice cream and then they got to eat it!
Playing with friends outside after feeding the ducks!

Makayla's Birthday

We had a pre-birthday family celebration the night before her birthday since we were heading down south on her actual birthday. She woke up to the traditional birthday balloons all over the house!

She took her nap on our way to the school to play at the park. We had Kindergarten roundup for Zack so we played at the park while we waited for that to start!
 Her "Ya-yee!"
After Daddy got home we did presents and cupcakes!

We played outside for awhile while she tried out her new bike!
She was all smiles for the song
And then we asked her to blow out the candles....not so happy anymore!

I was changing Nate's diaper and didn't think much of it when Makayla jumped down to console her crying brother. She laid a kiss on his forehead and when she came up I remembered she was COVERED in pink frosting. So Nate got to join in on the messy face fun!
Saturday on Makayla's birthday we headed down to Grandma and Grandpas! She played hard and we started off the festivities with cake and ice cream. She remembered how the candle worked this time and actually blew it out without tears!

We headed to the bowling lanes afterwards. Bowling is one of her favorite things to do. When we walked in she was visibly shaking and pulling on my leg saying, "OOK OOK" (meaning Look Look!". She was pointing at the lanes and so excited! We got lucky that they somehow forgot our reservations and got the VIP lanes in a separate room with cushioned seats!

 Their bowling poses

We hit up dinner afterwards at Zupas and headed home. It was a fun filled weekend celebrating our big girl!

My Beautiful Little 2 Year Old!

Since we won't be home tomorrow, I decided to post about my sweet little girl a day early! We are celebrating Makayla's 2 year old birthday this weekend. I took this wiggly girl to take some pictures last Saturday. It is the hardest to take pictures of a 2 year old, I swear! The park we went to had a bunch of people and ducks...that was a mistake. She was super shy at all the people and she would not look at me at all. She wanted to play with the ducks and when she was not wanting to do that she was super distracted by all the people. Next time we go somewhere less distracting! However, we did get some cute ones from there and mostly from our front yard!
It is so fun to have the little girl presence in a house full of boys. She is such a drama queen at moments, but that sweet little nurturing personality is so sweet. She gives us countless hugs and kisses and she just adores her little baby brother. She caresses his head and says, "It's ok Nate!" when he is crying. She is right by my side when we give him baths, change his diaper, and pops her head over the side of the bed to check on him when he is sleeping. We have a second momma on our hands:) She on the flip side is also quite spunky and quite the tomboy. She tries to be just like her brothers. She play trains and cars and whatever they are playing. I was telling Dan the other day that she even copies the boys yells and has such a non-girly yell! She loves to get dirty and she loves to be outside all day long! She does love the color purple and pink though. She loves her baby dolls too! I love the relationships she has with the boys and especially Levi right now. She just adores him. She calls him "Ya-yee." It is the cutest thing ever. He helps her when mom is busy with Nate, and she loves it! Makayla and Zack have a friend relationship more than a big brother one. They play all day together when Zack does not have preschool. They build train tracks, ride on the teeter totter and wiggle cars, and watch shows sitting cuddled together under a blanket. She lights up whenever Zack wants to play anything with her! I just love the relationships building between all of them. She loves the show Sheriff Callie right now. She also loves to sing. She only pronounces the last word of the sentence so it is very funny! She loves to sing the ABC's and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She is the most animated one during singing time in nursery. She loves her best buddy Lucy (aka sussie). They run and give each other gigantic hugs when they see each other. It is one way we get her to willingly stay in nursery! She is a crazy girl on her beloved wiggle car. She tears around corners and goes unnervingly fast for such a tiny girl! She still tries to color on everything, dump everything, spill everything, and make any mess that she can. My house looks like a tornado hit it most days. She did very well with potty training until baby came. She did ok with grandma's and then a week after they left I threw in the towel for a few days. Then with some pressuring she jumped back on the bandwagon and we have continued to work on it. She is about back to where she was, she will go when you take her. She will hit a point where she will want to go and will tell me, but until then we will just continue going when mom can take her! She still sleeps in her crib and I am hoping that won't change for a few months. She sleeps well and I don't want to rock that boat any time soon! She has daddy wrapped around her little finger and she runs to meet him at the door when he gets home everyday. She loves to wrestle with him. She loves to read books with him too. We love our little princess and love the sweet little spunky girl that she is growing in too!
