Catchup on February!

I seem to be using my phone a lot lately, so here is a bunch!
Mr Blue eyes in the car one day. Love that I can still cuddle my 5 year old!
The girl we carpool with took a bunch of pictures of Makayla on the way home one day.
Relief Society Valentines Dinner. My neighbor and I went together since our husbands got to stay home with the sick kids! Girls night!
 My birthday boy!
Some days he still will take a nap.
Zack finished his reading lessons the day after his birthday. He has worked so hard and has progressed so much since we started them. He is one smart little man and I love watching him grow!
We had pretty minor colds on and off through the family for January and February. Makayla rarely gets sick, but when she does she gets croup. Well, with Levi and his asthma I finally pursued a nebulizer for the house. It is nice to know it is here if we need it!
Levi has had some fun things at school lately. His class one a canned food drive so they got to pain their teachers face. He has been so excited about a lot of things this year and they have made some fun things for these little first graders to keep them motivated!

Helping put a fence up at Grandma and Grandpas!
Just being silly on a Sunday night

 My baby girl!
Dan has taken a few Saturdays working on the basement. We are probably 70% done with framing. It is a lot easier with 2 people (and not your pregnant wife) to measure and maneuver the walls, but my handyman has done a good job and we are excited for the pile of wood to be gone soon!
For our anniversary we went out on a date. Bada came over to watch the kids. It was nice to go out to eat at a nicer restaurant that we don't do EVER with kids:) I am so spoiled and lucky to have this guy next to me. I don't know what I would do without him!

Levi got a pair of reading glasses. He had complained of double vision a couple of times, so I took him in for a checkup just to make sure. He said he had a tiny astigmatism and was a little far-sighted. He didn't think it was bad enough for glasses, but since his eyes seem to get tired every now and then, maybe he should have them for reading and video games/tv at home. So, we picked him up a pair. He is such a mini dad!
Zack's preschool class went to the treehouse museum for a field trip last week. The kids enjoyed it as always!

He got to play the puppy in a little acted out story time they did for the kids.
Levi's entry into the Inspirations Program went to the Regional level this past week and won 1st place! There were supposed to be 7 charter schools in the Region, but I am pretty sure only a couple ended up submitting their entries on time. Regardless, we had one happy little man!

We have play days with the neighbor kids while us moms volunteer at school. We had them over one day and they kids were dressed so much alike that I thought it was funny!
 Such a good big brother!

Happy Valentines Day!

Zack had his preschool party on Wednesday, and Levi's party was on Friday. We got to make him a box this year! He requested a Batman box. Soooo...using our construction paper we went to work! Then he quit 10 minutes later, and mom finished the box.

Zack was with me when I picked out some Valentines from mom. It was supposed to be a secret until actual Valentines Day, but while I was helping Makayla in the bathroom he decided to give Levi his early:) So, we opened them on Friday instead! Which ended up being good since we headed down early on Valentines to help with Grandma and Grandpa's fence. They played with their stuff the rest of the day.

3 of my little Valentines!

 New glasses! So cute!

Zackary's Birthday

It was a good thing we had Zack's birthday party on Saturday, because his birthday ended up being pretty busy! He woke up to a traditional room full of balloons! He had preschool that morning, but I let him open up one of his presents so he could play with it after school.

After an afternoon of Legos, we headed to pick kids up from school. We went straight over to the eye doctor for Levi. After that we let Zack pick a place to grab dinner. He chose In-N-Out and wanted his OWN milkshake. So, of course we let him! When we got home we skipped the cake since we had milkshakes, and one cake from his party seemed to be enough! We ate and did presents. They proceeded to play with his gifts for the remainder of the night. What I loved about going through these pictures was how well they caught Zack's excitement. He LOVED every second of the attention and he gets so excited over the littlest things. He kept saying all day, "I get to make all the choices today!" It was fun to spoil this little man a second time for his birthday!

We went to the doctors the following day for Zack's well check. He passed everything with flying colors. His stats were:
Weight- 37.48lb 26%
Height- 41.06in 16%

Happy Birthday to my sweet, passionate, and determined 5 year old!

Zackary's 5th Birthday Bash!

When I talked to Zack a few months ago I mentioned that he was turning 5 and that he could have a friend party if he wanted. He has been dying to have one for awhile now! So...upon further questioning and knowing my little Zack, we went with the Lego theme!

He wanted to invite his preschool friends, a church friend or 2, and then of course his cousins who live 15min away. Well, for now they do on the weekends! He checked the calendar daily to see how many days were left until his party. The night before and the day of he was visibly shaking with excitement. All Saturday he asked a thousand times when his friends were coming over. It is fun to make him feel special on his special day and to see him so happy and excited!
The invitations he helped me put together:

The party bags
 Decorations

Our in-between games activity, Legos of course!
 Lego head balloons!

Our first activity was decorating mini-figures. The kids LOVED this!

Next was pin the smile on the Lego head. This game was hilarious!
As you can see the smiles ended up all over the place and it was good to see them all laughing at themselves!
Next, we busted the Lego piece piñata. They each got several swings and at the end we had them line up and Dan took a big swing sending the candy everywhere. They all had their bags in hand and dove in! Made the work of making that thing worth it!

Next, cake and ice cream! Lego piece rainbow cake! Zack was so so so happy. He was a little concerned about having fire close to him. Even a day later he tells me, "I had fire close to me!"

Such a cute bunch of kiddos
Following cake we finished off with presents and a few little games to kill the last few minutes before the mom's and dad's came. This little man was elated and I am so happy he had such a fun birthday. He deserved ALL of it! We love our little Zackary and what he brings to our family!

In their goody bags we put little Lego sets. The boys spent the next little while putting theirs and the couple of extras together.

One more picture of the paper-mache pinata that took the most time of all!
This is the face of the little man after his big day. Nothing but big ol smiles! Can't wait to spoil him a little more on his actual birthday!
