Pioneer Day Party!

For Pioneer Day Kells and I decided we wanted to invite the family up for a BBQ and water party. The plans all came together and it was a blast! We got our hands on a water bounce slide, which the kids LOVED! They went up and down and up and down all afternoon! We had good good food, including a Cotton Candy making machine. Which the kids also LOVED! We spent from 2:30-7:30 in the backyard and they still did not want to quit. It turned out a lot of fun and we sure did enjoy our holiday! We will try to forget the massive hornet fest on our deck causing my bee swatting dad to get stung and Levi's gymnastics as he fell down the stairs of our deck.... All in all I think it was a major success and super fun!

He thought the weights were pillows and kept laying on them to take a break:)

These guys were having as much fun as the kids. They came up with all sorts of games/competitions.

We all pitched in to get mom a FitBit for her Birthday, so the kids got to sing to her a day early:)
 Cotton Candy time!

Lil' Walker is 15 Months

Well, over the last month Makayla has really progressed in her walking. She will now let go of stuff and try walking first. The trouble she finds, is when she falls she cannot quite get back up without grabbing on to something to pull herself up. But, she will walk over 25 steps in a row. So...I officially call her a walker:) She loves attention, is starting to demand things, she wants to play with the big kids now, she is great at giving kisses, when she smacks you and you say, "Be soft, be soft," she will begin to stroke your face. She shakes her head no and yes. She LOVES Macaroni and Cheese and will eat at least 1/2 a box herself! She sleeps 11-12 hours a night and goes between 1-2 naps a day depending on what is going on. She is still a snuggler and still LOVES her daddy! She also lights up whenever the boys play with her. She just loves being apart of their little duo! She is developing quite the little personality. She gets so mad when you don't let her go outside when someone else does. She loves toothbrushes, bubbles, and balloons. She does not cry when they pop, in fact she squeals in delight. She loves the lawn mower, and it is strange how much she does not get bothered by loud noises. That and she is a huge water bug, and really does not mind getting splashed in the face. In fact, I think she likes it! She gives her dolly's hugs and loves to play pass with balls. She has learned to go up and down our little slide in the backyard. She is getting so big and I am sure the next few months she is  just going to change drastically! We love our baby girl and what she adds to our family!

 Beautiful baby girl!

27 Years Old....

Happy Birthday to me! Saturday we got to go on a date for my birthday. Bada watched the kiddos while we went out to eat at Goodwood BBQ and then, using my birthday present (golf clubs), we went and hit 9 holes at Eagle Lake. It was a lot of fun and one we will definitely be doing again!

On our Birthday, we had the Johnson's over for our birthday dinner after church!

We may have done this backwards...
Then Zack thought he had to show his fingers too. Apparently he is turning 24:) I had a great birthday and 27 will be a good one!

Gateway/Build-a-bear

We met Grandma, the Johnson's, and the Hegerhorst kids at the Gateway for some splash pad fun! Grandma took James and Levi up to get their birthday Build-A-Bears. Levi had been counting down the days till he would get a bear for 4 months now! It did not disappoint!

 Introducing, Spiderman Spy Bear

Also, I had to add the next ADORABLE pictures of the little miss. Eating leftover pancakes and snuggling with Levi while mom showered. That cheese face is so funny!
Our maxinista all ready for church. She looked so big in that skirt!

Summer Playing!

I am loving all the fun things we have been able to do this summer! It is hard to keep up with it all, but so worth it! Here it goes...
Last week we hit up the Airplane Musuem one empty day with the Johnson's. The kids were more excited about the maps than the airplanes this time!

Last Thursday we met most the fam for lunch, followed by the Natural History Museum of Curiosity with the Boston's, Andrew's fam, the Johnson's, and Grandma. It was way too busy but the kids still loved it!

I need one of these at home, she loved it!

The zip line was their favorite part!

This past Monday, we headed to the Stevenson's for FHE to swim in their new pool. My kids are crazy and fearless, and had a blast!

Levi was swimming across half the pool without a life jacket. He is getting really good, but for the crazy stuff he still wanted the jacket. My water bugs!

Tonight we headed over to the Clinton Heritage Day Carnival with the Johnson's. The kids love the dinky riders they have there. Their favorite was the bounce house they played on for most of the time!

Also, I just got ahold of these photos from Father's and Son's from June. These boys love their camping and hiking!
