Our Carazy Fun Week!

We had a week full of fun activities!
Monday, they had a friend over and drew our neighborhood on the driveway so they could drive around!
Tuesday, we went to the Syracuse Fun Center. The kids had a blast with their friends on the bounce houses, the nerf blaster room, and the arcade games!

Wednesday, we went to the zoo with the Johnson's. McKay had an interview down there so we joined them! We inherited a pass so we will be visiting again soon! The kids loved it as always.

Thursday, the Johnson's came to our house. We rode bikes and hit up the snow cone shack.

 My little helper...
Friday we started closing in our fence. We got the holes measured and dug and a few posts placed. We had the Stevenson's and Bada stop by that evening so we got a much needed break to hang out with them!
Saturday, we hit up Seven Peaks in the morning. The kids were so excited to FINALLY make it there this summer!

We headed home in the afternoon and worked on the fence the rest of the day. We got all the post in!!! Fun and busy busy week!

Goodbye First Home

(This is the only picture I had with full resolution!)

I wanted to say for journal sake, farewell to our townhome in AZ. We bought it the fall before Zack was born, October 2009. We lived in it till August 2011. We have rented it out since. We decided it was a good time to sell it when our tenants lease was up this year, and found out we would be selling it a little sooner than we thought since she only signed 9 month instead of a year (we were never informed of this switch!). So, we jumped on the market in April, and were under contract within a week. It went so smoothly even down to the realtor we chose. She happened to be an aunt of a neighbor down in Mesa, who recently sold their townhome as well. We officially closed at the beginning of June. It was our first home we bought, not really all that sad to say goodbye, but still had some good memories there. Very good ones! As we were signing our closing documents at the bank the notary was just watching as Dan and I sifted threw the papers, reading, signing, and meanwhile our 3 kids by our ankles on the floor. When we finished she gathered up the papers and said, "I just wanted you to know, while I was watching, I was super impressed by how well you two work together. I just thought you should know." I am pretty sure I love that lady, and yes we are getting to a point where I feel like he can read my mind! Just joking! It was a nice complement and I was taken back by how sincere she was. I am blessed to have someone who complements me so well and that is so easy to work with!
So long to our first home, you treated us well!

First half of June according to IPHONE!

We got me some lefty clubs so I can join in on the golfing with the boys!
We grabbed a bunch of top soil to raise the ground level along our house where we had some flooding in our basement. Now that the crack is filled and we added some dirt, hopefully we will be set for awhile! The boys spent the hole time jumping across all the bags!
We have loved our random play days with the Johnsons! We have gone to parks and just played at the house.

Makayla loved the water. She will jump right in!

I just thought this picture was too funny!
 Sonic!
Kellie's sister-in-law got PJ's for all the grandkids on our side. Too cute!
We got some of these beads from the craft store and the kids spent hours and hours making tons of them!
 My little escaper:)

She will run in circles in this jumper, it is too funny!

Happy Father's Day!

Yesterday was Father's Day. I have several amazing fathers in my life, but I wanted to write about how grateful I am for Dan. He is truly my better half! He makes sure any extra time at the end of the day is 100% dedicated to our kids before they go to bed. He loves spending time with them and they love their daddy! Happy Father's Day to this amazing daddy and to our Dad's!

His gift:)

Jeff and Tamee's Wedding!

The wedding festivities began Wednesday at the family dinner. There was delicious food, entertainment, and a big family to celebrate with!

I have a lot of video, but the kids all sang, followed by a couple other musical numbers, and then some got up to say a few words. My favorite was Adriel getting everyone up there dancing to  "Because I'm Happy!"
The next day we had the sealing at 11am. It was a neat experience and one I am glad I was able to attend. Dan was one of the witnesses and it was so special to look around and see so many siblings on Jeff's and Tamee's side (given there are 8 kids on both sides). The looks on their faces and particularly the parent's faces seeing them there together was a highlight. Also, right when Tamee walked in the look on her face said it all. The Spirit was so strong there and you could tell by both of their faces that they were extremely happy to be there and to be there together.
I love meeting and learning about people like this, this is Sister Hess (not sure the spelling). She was one of the missionaries that worked with Dan's mom and dad when they joined the church. There was another couple there that I did not capture as well. I love hearing stories and learning more about that time. We are so grateful for her and for her decision to serve and find people like the Burkholders!
 The happy couple!

 Off to the reception!

The siblings, minus Hans and Joel.

 The boys!

They had over 50 nieces and nephews there to celebrate and Tamee's mom sewed all the girls dresses! They also gave them each bags with treats and toys to play with.
 Burkholder kids!
Kids gathering for Jeff's song to Tamee

Train ride around This Is The Place Park

We were all laughing so hard when Jeff and Bada busted out the moves. To top it off it was not Jeff's idea, but momma B's! I have the video for black mailing purposes later...
 Tons and tons of dancing!

Tamee threw enough roses for all the nieces followed by them all dancing and singing "Let it go" together. So cute!

Congratulations to Jeff and Tamee! We are all so happy for you guys!
