9 Months

We took a little post bath pre doctors appointment time to take some pictures! Not too bad for my kitchen floor...
Miss Makayla turned 9 months on the 18th.
In 2 days I got 2 comments that describe Makayla pretty well.
Lady at Costco holding her baby boy who is jumping around and trying to squirm to the ground: How old is your baby?
Dan: 9 months
Her: So is he! But, she just sits there so good!!!

Next one, we were at her doctors appointment.
Receptionist: Wow, she is such a calm baby. She just sits there watching everything doesn't she?
Me: Yup, she is a really calm mannered baby! She just loves to sit and observe people when we are out and about!

She is turning into a mama's girl. She does not like me to walk away and if I am standing by someone holding her, she squirms trying to get to me. It is that age!
She eats her baby food great and is eating more and more table food. She still has no teeth. She is getting a tiny bit more mobile on her tummy (which she still can only tolerate for maybe 10 minutes on a good day!). She will roll around to get what she wants and scoots in circles on her tummy slowly. She is getting there! No hurry baby...really! She is sleeping better, thank heavens. An occasional night she wakes up and has a hard time going back to bed but generally I can't complain! When she gets excited she rolls her wrists and ankles and points her toes as hard as she can! It is too cute! She is starting to be more talkative and blabs away when you catch her in the mood. Like at church on Sunday, she grabbed the hymn book with both hands during the Sacrament song and started screeching along with the song. It made several head turn and made several people smile and comment to me later about it. She is the sweetest thing you have ever seen!
Now for some stats:
Weight- 18.6lb (46%)
Height-27.32in (58%)
Head- 17.3in (50%)
She gained a little over a pound since 6 months, but she seems so chubby! However, she is the runt of the 3. My boys were verging on 22 lbs by this checkup. She is a girl!!! We love babies and we are ALL obsessed with her!

Hoggle Zoo

We once again decided to be spontaneous and headed down on Martin Luther Kind Day to the Hoggle Zoo to meet up with whatever family could make it. We ended up managing to get all the grandkids there together! We were the first ones there so we headed off to see all the big Apes on our way down the hill.

I just love the Otters and the Seals!

Bumpa and his mini me:)

Zack seemed a little extra tired that day, wanting to be held and sleepy even though he had a nap. Turned out he was heading down hill from there. He has had on and off fevers and feeling pretty miserable for the last 2 days. Poor kid can't catch a break this winter.

Auto Expo

This past weekend we decided pretty last minute to go to the Auto Expo, followed by a few others last minute decisions and all but Jeni's family ended up going (they were in DISNEYLAND, I guess that is a good excuse!). The boys loved the cars, and we had fun visiting with family after.

Zack's favorite. He loved the red ones.
Checking out our next potential upgrades when we outgrow our beloved Mazda!
 Squishy face!!!
Sunday morning baths. We are enjoying/disliking our new time of 1pm church. Plenty of time to relax in the morning, but this cutie was so so so tired by 4 and did not want to sleep at church!

I could not love this picture more! Zack was trying to show Levi how to smile because Levi was pouting and this is what we got! Wow, I am so stinking lucky!
I had to add a cute conversation I had with Levi and Zack yesterday:
Zack, with tears in his eyes: Mom! I can't find my orange car!
Mom: Well do you think crying will help you find it? Can I help you look for it?
Zack: I can't find it anywhere?!
Mom: Well what else should we do then?
Levi pipes in: I know! We should say a prayer! Heavenly Father will give us thoughts to find it.
Mom stunned: That is a great idea! Zack you want to say it?
Zack shakes his head
Levi: I will help you Zack! Gets close to his ear and starts helping him say the prayer.
Zack shakes his head
Levi: I will say it for you. Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Please help us to find Zack's car, his orange car. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. Now he will give us thoughts!
He runs out of the room and starts looking.
I know the ending would have been great had we found it right away. However, we ended up looking for about 2 minutes and Zack found a red car and decided he wanted that one instead. Then we had to head out to meet Dan. But, I am so proud of Levi for thinking to look up when he didn't know what else to do!

January So Far

Well, January has been good and we have been in our routine plugging through I swear the slowest month of the year. Yet somehow, this month is flying by! Levi is doing great in school. Zack still wishes school was EVERYDAY! Makayla is still getting bigger and stronger everyday!

Mu cute model in her new head warmer:)
 I thought they looked similar...
This kid LOVES LOVES LOVES Legos. He plays them seriously for hours. This whole week he played with them the majority of the time Levi was in school everyday.

For Zack's mommy preschool we took the kids on a fieldtrip to the Treeshouse Museum. As always, they loved it!

Poor Levi had a rough time due to acollision accident with the neighbor boy. He bruised his chin really good and complained about a sore jaw for 2 days after. He could eat candy so I was not too worried;)
My goof balls laughing at each other to the point they could not breath! Best buds!
Dentist visit. Levi has 2 cavities, not surprised. He has huge grooves in his back teeth and one is a redo. He does good, mom is the one who hates the dentist!
 My model baby!

New Years Eve Weekend

Well the plans started out going down to Grandma and Grandpa's from Sunday-Wednesday. So here we are Sunday night getting ready for bed. Grandma was reading a story to the kids on the IPAD.

The next day we ran some errands, went out to lunch, and then hit up the Lehi Trafalga for some mini golf, or "small golf" as my boys liked to call it. It was pretty busy so we just did the little ride before leaving. We hit up IKEA and then headed back to play with cousins.

That night after going to bed (Andrew's family came to sleep over too) Zack woke up and threw up. He had had some digestive issues the day before, but once you involve throwing up we were out the door and headed home! We didn't want to spread anything to anybody (especially Andrew and Kim's boys!). We were a little disappointed it being New Years Eve, but we made the best out of it! Zack felt fine minus an appetite most of the day. We grabbed some pizza and played games that night. Then we made a home made movie. The IRON MAN MOVIE is under the editing process and will be done soon. The kids had a blast and we had fun making it. Good memories caught on tape and I am sure we will watch it over and over!

Just because I was downloading pictures from Dan's phone, I thought I would add these to finish off the year!

We had a great 2013 as a family and we are looking forward to see what 2014 has in store for us!
