Makayla turned 5 months old on the 18th. She is getting so chubby, so happy, and very sturdy. She can sit with assitance, she prefers to sit actually. She loves her new saucer we got her. She loves to grab things and play with them. Especially her toes! She has a very calm temperament most of the time and really just loves to sit and watch people. She usually only gets mad when she is hungry, has a burp, or tired. She fusses a bit to bed but takes good naps in her bed. She is waking up a little more at night...working on that. Still does not really have a desire to roll over, although she did do it again the other day from her stomach to her back. She does not like it though, I think it startles her. Strangers seem to have to work for smiles a little with her, but at home she lights up whenever you talk to her! She is becoming a little more of a momma's girl. She knows when I leave to room and come in! She will do a little whine and want me to pick her up! I can't say no to that face either so I am probably not helping the cause! Her hair has gotten longer and still seems to be hanging on to the light brown. Maybe we have a burnet in the family?! I swear we have the cutest babies I have ever seen!!! We love our big girl!

1st Day of Preschool- Loves To Learn
Zack had his first day at Mommy Preschool on Monday. Me and 3 other ladies from my ward are taking turns doing it at our houses. I knew Zack was going to have a hard time with Levi going so this has been a welcomed distractions. He was so so so excited for his first day. He wanted a green polo like Levi's uniform, his morning poptart, and his chalkboard picture too. He was so excited to put on his empty backback and did the cutest fast walk over to the neighbors for school. He was super sad the next day that he was not going again.
This kid LOVES to learn. He wants to do Levi's homework more than Levi everyday when Levi gets home. He even sneaks into Levi's backpack and gets it out and tries to do it:) So, I help do Levi's homework with BOTH of them. Zack already knew all his letters and some sounds. He is learning the rest of them and now has an obsession with writing them too. He is constantly trying to write different letters. He will run it over and say," Look mom! M for Makayla!" He really does soak it all up and just like Levi picks up on things easily and loves to learn!

IPhone Pics Of The Week
Well, I am excited to say an Iphone joined our family this week. We have put it off for a long time and finally cracked. I wanted to take pictures during all those times I wished I had my camera on me and now I can! So here is our week in summary:
Levi had a few soccer games. He did very well in his second game and rocked it at goalie! They played girl.s I think it was because there was one particularly good one and she pushed them to play a little harder. It was fun to watch and Levi was out to get the ball that game!
Miss Makayla's sleep schedule is not as predictable as it used to be since school has started. I blame it on the whacky nap schedule and having to get in the car every two hours during the day! But, she is adjusting and starting to get her naps in between these car rides and working out the night time thing!I walked in to find these 2 feeding their stuffed animals after putting Makayla down for a nap...I thought only girls did that:) Nope! My boys were not only feeding them but then would throw them down the hall and say as they ran to grab them, "Oh no! They are crying!" Such boys!
We have taken on a few paint jobs in the last few months since the previous owners did an awful job trying to retouch the original paint job. So, we painted our room Saturday:
The boys got jealous of her room and a few weeks ago I painted their's. The green looks way brighter in this picture (might be the yellow lighting) but they wanted their favorite color...green!
Today we had a restful Sunday and spent time outside going for a walk/bike ride. Zack made it all the way around the pond by himself yesterday and again today with his new bike. Following that basketball and races around the house. My neighbors probably laughed at me running around in my skirt. Who can say no to those sweet little boys of mine? No me!!!!
Holy cow she is getting so big. She loves her toes right now and is grabbing everything in front of her. Including my pizza at Pizza Pie Cafe earlier this week! She is also drooling like CARAZY! I could swear she is getting teeth but her mouth does not show any signs. Maybe sooner than later though...
Labor Day Weekend
For Labor Day Weekend we started off the weekend going to the Antelope Island Festival. A little pricey since you had to pay an entrance fee, so good thing we crammed in and fit all of us and Grandma and Grandpa in our car! The kids had a blast playing on the bounce toys. Except for the little girl who was trying to scare Zack in the train! How does he attract these kids?
Zack went down nervously the first time all by himself and then the second time he started to cry at the top because he was scared. THE SECOND TIME! Silly kid!
BMX bike show
Kite flying show
Snow cones! It was humid that day and we were all pink in the face!
Such a pretty place and I just had to add a picture of the festival from one of the lookout points.
After going out to eat with Grandma and Grandpa we found out Dan's brother Joel was coming in that night with a Uhaul from Kansas and were going to move into their apartment in Provo the next morning. So, we decided last second to jump in our car that night and head down to help them unload. While Dan helped unload on Sunday we went to Grandma and Grandpa's ward. The boys enjoyed going to their primary class. We got to visit with Grammy and Grampy that night too.
On Labor Day Dan and Dad headed out for a quick golf outing and mom and I hit up the mall to let the kids play and walk around. Their golf trip got cut short since it was so busy! But, we met Dan's brother and wife for lunch and then hit up the movie Turbo at the dollar theater. We headed home after that to unpack and get ready for school the next day!
