Play Play Play

We had a play date with Kellie and kids on Monday and a playgroup with the ward on Tuesday. Both were full of water and fun:)
Zack just woke up from his  nap and found a spot in the shade and plopped. He was not quite ready to run around yet!

The other three were keeping cool under the umbrella. Levi between his sprints through the sprinkler.

Moved it under the tramp and the other 2 were more excited about joining:)
 Cookie break!
Ward playgroup. We went over to the neighbors who have a pool. Levi loved independence with his life jacket.
I took this picture of the neighbor boy and I love it because of Levi's face in the background. HA!
 Zack loving it!
 Their silly faces...

Grandpa Hegerhorst

Yesterday morning my Grandpa Hegerhorst passed away. (July 19th 1920-June 25th 2012, 91 years ole) Months ago Grandpa had stroke that put him in a care center unable to to do much for himself. He fought and gained some of his physical abilities back but then started to go down  hill. He ended up in an Alzheimers/Demential facility for the last couple months with complete Hospice care. It has been a struggle to see him change and also to see the struggle of that change in my parents and Grandma. Grandpa will truly be missed and has left quite the legacy behind. He has many many family members who love him. He to me, was always more of the silent type who had a quiet sarcastic personality type. I remember spending weeks with them while my mom was at girls camp and helping Grandpa in his garden. I remember when we would come over to help mow the lawn he would say, "Oh forget that, I will get it later. Come sit down." Even though you know he could not do it later. You knew he loved you for that reason. I vaguely remember going to Antelope Island and Trolley Square with them. I remember how much he lit up when you talked about nature and hiking. I remember how much he loved the hikes my dad planned with him. I remember when he started to start telling the same story more than once in a visit. He told the same one to Dan at our wedding 4 times. I remember his war stories and him complaining now and again with what started something like, "Well when I was young..." He was very German and I looked forward to him and grandma singing, "Oh Christmas Tree" at our annual Christmas parties each year. I am so happy I had my Grandpa around for as long as I did. He was a strong man and I will miss him.

Golfing 101

On a day like today we were in need of some visitors and my parents knew that. So, they drove all the way up to just hang for the day. After some yummy Goodwood BBQ we hit a bucket of balls. The boys did great and now we are headed home with the desire to buy some kid clubs. Levi has some mad hand eye coordination and he hit the ball almost every time even with the huge clubs. I think we have the next Tiger Woods (though Levi will be a much better person!). Zack was just a little bit too little to get the hang of it. He will grow into the set when Levi gets too big for them and they can both go with Dad. I LOVE it!

Thanks Bumpa and Grandma for the much needed hugs and distraction! Love you guys!

But, Why Mom?

I spend a lot of my day answering the question, "Why?" I must have a 3, almost 4 year old in the house:) I took this picture on the tramp the other day and it showed just how curious my little Levi is right now!

Seven Peaks

Yesterday Dan got off work early so we could head down to the Seven Peaks in Salt Lake. We had bought a year pass for way cheap a month or so ago and could not wait any longer to use it!

Levi loved the wave pool.

Zack is a cautious/nervous kid with anything moving (carousel, slides, the wave pool, ect.) He needs to be held or he freaks out.
He did like the slides ONLY if he was on your lap.
If you can't tell Levi was pretty much shaking with excitement the whole time waiting for the slides!
Probably Zack's favorite part of the day:)

Got a little chilly after jumping out of some cold water but he was still determined to ride more slides!
If only his eyes were open....
Drying off while Levi jumped one more time into the wave pool.
Seven Peaks we will be back soon!

I Like It A Lot A Lot

Since September last year I have played on an indoor soccer team with Dan's boss and wife. It has been a lot of fun! The boys have enjoyed going to watch and I LOVE playing. It has been awhile and it is so much fun to get competitive again:) Of course playing with guys has its pluses and minus'. A rib shot last night to prove it! We did swing by Sonic on the way home due to my constant cravings in the summer for Sonic slushes!

Fire To The Rain

This song, "Set Fire To The Rain" by Adele has been one of the kids favorites for awhile and it makes me laugh every time it comes on in the car. As you will see the chorus is for sure their favorite part:) Lately they have enjoyed performing together and it is so stinking cute. I am one fortunate momma to be blessed with such amazing little boys.

Maybe Lets Look For Fish

The last two weeks Levi has been taking swimming lessons with his friend Dylan. He was a very confident little man and jumped right in. He LOVED every second of it and loved to talk to the teacher. He talked all about fish and they "looked" for fish under the water a lot! He loves to use his goggles when he gets a chance. He also told the teacher that the fish did not belong in the pool and that they were dead. Which really meant that mom told him, "Fish cannot live in swimming pools because of the chemicals in it. They would die." He loves to tell people random facts even if he is wrong. For instance:
To a random lady, "French Fries are made from potatoes!"
Our next door neighbor, "When I was a baby I was in my mommy's tummy. When I got bigger (and I swear he made this up) I crawled out of a little hole...."Ya I was a little uncomfortable with that one.
To a man in Smiths missing his front teeth, "I am going to lose my teeth too someday!"
To me about a lady in our wards son who is black, "The baby with the black face did it!"
There is nothing like the innocence of kids!

Uncle Jeff gave us this K-nex toy a few months back and since this week we have had a few opportunities to watch the neighbors 3 boys as she is at girls camp, we whipped it out. We finished it today and the boys LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Squeaky Clean

Levi loves the dentist and the doctors, I know it is a little strange. But, he LOVES the attention he gets when it is his turn to sit on the table. He did really well the last time he had a cleaning and a few cavities filled. In fact he actually liked it. So this time I was not too worried:) He sat for 45 min while I got mine cleaned and patiently waited in a chair the WHOLE time. Towards the end he started to ask, "Is it my turn yet?" He loves the glasses they give him and I thought he looked too cute. His shorts got hiked up a little high, but the picture shows just how happy he is about the dentist! He kept giving me thumbs up to let me know he was okay. Such a silly kid! Happy to say we all walked out with no cavities this time. We love squeaky clean teeth!

i love/hate surprises

A couple days ago Dan mentions while we are working outside that he had a surprise for us and was deciding wether to tell us or not. Of course he said, "I changed my mind, I am not going to tell." Stinker. So because it is me, I stewed about it for TWO days! I guessed and guessed and tried to trick him into telling me over and over. Didn't work. Needless to say, when we heard the garage door open on Friday I ran outside knowing he had it in the back of our Mazda. Yup, it was a new tramp:) We spent Friday night from 4-9 assembling and jumping on the tramp. The boys were SO excited! As much as I hate them, I do love surprises!

Batman Movie

This is what we do on Sunday nights:) We love to make movies with our boys and need to do it more often. They love to watch them too! They are a little silly but the boys laugh and laugh at themselves. I love it! So here is our Batman movie. Levi pretty much made it up himself, with some ideas from mom and dad!

Campout

I was a little jealous when Dan and Levi got back from Father and Son's so, my neighbor and I decided we wanted to go to! We headed up Ogden Canyon to South Fork Campground Friday early evening and stayed till Saturday afternoon. Camping is a lot of work but the kids had a BLAST and it really was a lot of fun. We lucked out having such fun neighbors with 3 boys! Could not have asked for better:) Levi was so mad when we were leaving. He even said he wanted to stay FOREVER! He ran around with the boys playing with sticks, football, running from "rattlesnakes," and his favorite part was being able to pee on the trees. Zack loved the new territory to explore. We caught him countless times leaving the camp site. He is his own little man! He loved finding bugs and tried to pick them up all the time, yay. He liked to run back and forth with the neighbor boy and loved the tent. He stayed up till 11pm so wired and not used to the campground noises. He was wondering around the tent not making sounds for awhile as to not notify us so he wouldn't have to lay down. Stinker! But, all in all he did great and had so much fun. We will definitely try to go more this summer since our boys are at a decent age to do so!

Playing games
Exploring
Levi ran out the door the other day after Dylan yelling, "Dylan you can't leave, you are my best friend!" He likes this kid a whole lot:)
 My crazy face moments...
 And another...
This is how Smores should be eaten!
The boys are all about the flashlights. I think to them it is the best part of camping!
 Throwing rocks in the river
 The boys...and Krista!
This was Zack's favorite spot he went to ALL the time. He would just sit in or by the bushes.
 We LOVE camping!
And a pic the neighbor sent me:) I am never in pictures!
