Summer Lovin

Testing out the Sprinklers this weekend!
Saturday we had Cash's birthday party. The kids had a blast!
Then we headed to the Stevenson's for a Burkholder family party. I thought this picture portrayed just how much Levi loves to play with Adelaide!
Sunday nap....realized it was time for a haircut.
So off to cut some hair!!!
Before
After. He loves to tilt his head to smile lately. Probably because I do that sometimes to make him smile!
Another fun weekend full of family! It can't get much better than that!

Zoo-ing In The Rain

Yesterday we went to the Zoo with all 3 of Dan's sisters. It was raining the WHOLE time, but it was still a lot of fun! Zack was actually really interested in the animals this time. When we got home Levi found this dog toy we have where you push on the its ear and it makes different dog noises. One of the noises sounds like the dog is whimpering. Zack gets so sad every time. His bottom lip comes out and his eyes start watering. Then he runs over and puts his head on your shoulder and starts to whimper too. It is the sadest yet sweetest thing EVER. I hid the animal for the time being because he gets just that sad!
The animals were all out and very close instead of hiding in the shade so it made for a wet but fun trip!

Zack saying, "Monkeeee!
No zoom, he looked like he was going to eat me and was so close!

Our friend the Giraffe!

I love Adelaide's face watching the Apes eat the paper that was left in their rooms.
Another great look from Levi!!!

We love the Zoo!

ABC's

Zack is obsessed with letters right now. He is constantly pointing at signs and telling me what letters he sees, reading the letters in books, and his new favorite thing is to line up letters that come with one of our books and point out all the letters. The audio in this video is not very loud, but he gets them all right. This kid surprises me with the things he knows! He loves the show Super Why, which is based on learning to read, and a toy laptop that we have that is based on letters. This is where he picked up his love of "reading." Such a silly boy:)

Letters I know he knows and can point out: A,B,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M,O,P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W,Y,Z.

Baby Animal Days/Logan Easter Egg Hunt

Logan Easter Egg Hunt
Zack got the hang of it after he got over his nervousness of all the kids running around him!

He was so serious about his Easter hunt this year. He stood there ready to run for at least 5 minutes telling me how fast he was going to go. It was very cute. He did very well and stayed to his corner. When the wall of kids from the other side started coming in on him he pretty much ran back to me a little nervous! I would be too, there were a lot of kids!
Not so certain about the Easter bunny:)

Baby Animal Days!

Here are just some of the animals the boys got to pet.
Baby goats
Baby pigs

Baby turtles. They were the cutest turtles ever and Dan would not let me take one home!!!

Baby bear
Baby bunny..Dan would not let me take home one of these either!
Baby duck
Dying Easter eggs!
Thanks for the fun day Johnson's!

Happy Easter!

The other week during the sacrament Levi was thumbing through a church manual and came across the picture of Christ hanging on the cross. He got the saddest look on his face and looked up at me. He pointed at Christ's hands and said, "Mom! He has an owie!" I responded, "That is a painting of Jesus when he died for us." Levi with seriously almost tears in his eyes responded, "I need to go see him!" I responded, "You will someday buddy, you will." I am so grateful for Christ and the Atonement and for the chance we have been given to repent of our sins and to go see Christ and our Heavenly Father again.

We had an awesome Easter weekend filled with family fun. More pictures to follow, but for now here are my sweet boys in their new Easter suits!

Wowzers

I have some stinking cute Easter Bunnies at my house:)
And FINALLY!!! For 3 days of painting during bedtime and nap time I FINALLY finished my stinkin wall. I like it, but stenciling is a LOT of work!!

Kim is not allowed at my house anymore, I was wondering what to do with the paint I bought to paint this chest, and she gave the stencil idea. Dan told me she is not allowed over anymore:) I however, loved the idea and loved how it turned out!

Lawn Mower and Cousin Visit

With Spring here we broke out the mower and our lawn really needed it!

Levi hated the noise...even with ear plugs!
Zack rode it most of the time.
The next day cousins came to play! The kids LOVED it! Fed the ducks.
Went for a slow walk.
Explored.
We love being close to family!

Conference Weekend

We had a great Conference Weekend. Friday night we started off with a temple trip. Dan's mom watched our kids for us and they had a blast at their cousins house. We spent the night at the Stevenson's house too. Levi LOVED staying up well past his bedtime playing and playing! The next day we headed down to Orem for Conference and the Priesthood session. Once again we had a lot of fun seeing and visiting with family. After Conference we went to the Hunger Games movie. I had been waiting and was so excited to finally go see it! We liked it a lot! Sunday we watched conference at my parents house and then stopped on our way home to visit my grandpa Hegerhorst who has been in a care center and a dementia facility for the last few weeks. It all started with a stroke and he is still not doing too well. So I was very grateful to have made that stop to see him. What a great weekend full of great guidance and motivation to do better, and family. I love Conference weekends!

Our entertainment for the kids while the guys were at Priesthood!

red light green light... Grandma could not resist joining in!

The guys....hmmmm probably Andrew's idea!

The Orange twins. They followed each other around the whole time copying each other. Which meant if one ran for the street...so did the other!!! Our two mischievous little boys!!
