Christmas 2012

At about 7 on Christmas morning, Levi ran into our room saying, "Santa came Santa came, and he left a BIG present!" It was torture for him to wait a half an hour till Zack woke up! When Zack finally did, Levi ran up to him and said, "Zack, Santa came! Come look at the tree!"Zack's eyes immediately got wide and he ran to the tree and we hear a, "WOOOOOW!" They were bouncing excited to open their gifts. I love how fun kids make Christmas!

We had a great Christmas with tons of entertainment to follow:)
We went to Grace and Dan's house that evening for the Burkholder family party. We had delicious food, played a fun game, and the kids ran wild having fun! It was a great Christmas break full of family and fun. I love this time of year and it always makes me grateful for the Savior and for the gospel in our lives. It is a great time of year to reevaluate and make some goals to be better and to strive to be like our Savior. What a better way than to spend it in the presence of my sweet kids and husband!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we started the day with some big snowflakes! The kids and dad's built a snowman, knocked it down, and then went sledding.

That afternoon when all the family came, we went down to the church. We had Jeni's bounce house, a nerf gun fight, a talent show, and white elephant gift exchange.

Daddy sent innocent Zack to get the photographer!
 Girls group song:)
After the church we had our traditional beef log dinner, present exchange for the grandkids and my parents, and a chocolate fountain. After all the fun we got the kids in their Christmas PJ's for the drive home! Kellie had to jump in with her awesome nighty that she got at a family party:)

Christmas Village

This past Friday, for a pre-Christmas activity, we went into Ogden to see the Christmas Village. We loved it last year and this year even topped it! We went on a good night. There were kids performing, tons of little houses and lights, Santa (which we opted out of the line), and my kids favorite: The train ride! Besides some cold toes, it was a very fun way to start our Holiday weekend!

Let It Snow

We went outside when it started to snow today to catch snowflakes in our mouths. When I got done taking pictures I about died laughing! Look at those faces! I swear I have the cutest kids EVER!

This AND That

Last weekend we headed down to my parents for Sunday to celebrate Andrew, Dan, and Todd's Birthdays. All are at the beginning of December!

This past week in our "preschool" at home, Levi has been practicing writing his name. This was his first time, big accomplishment for him since he is not a huge fan of coloring/writing, and he wrote his name all by himself! If you can't tell by the sweet look on his face, he was pretty proud of himself.
Zack has been Zack. Grown leaps and bounds in the last few months and just as silly as ever. He is becoming such a good helper and tries to do everything Levi does (brush his teeth, clean his room, put his clothes away, dance, clean up toys, and yes even help unload the dishwasher!). He is no baby anymore!!! My silly man after his bath...

The BIG 30

For Dan's 30th Birthday today, we headed down South. He took the day off work and we hit up a session at the temple followed by Temple Square. We ate dinner at City Creek before crossing the street to see the temple lights. It was a fun birthday and my man is 30! He says he does not feel any older...and honestly he does not look any older. The guy will still look 25 when I look 40! Happy Birthday to my Dano! Thanks Bada for coming with us!

Since we were out and about and honestly I think cake is overrated, we had some goodies at the chocolate store!

It's A...

Today we went in to get our 20 week ultrasound of the baby. I am not one to guess really, but I did notice a few differences in this pregnancy then my last. After having a miscarriage in October 2011 and June 2012, I was just praying that this baby was healthy! I have pretty good pregnancies I think, but this one is carrying higher and out front and I have had some pretty good headaches, and I am not a headache person usually. So based on just that I wondered. Dan and I both put in our guesses a week ago and both said we thought it was a girl. Well, we were right! During the ultrasound we were lucky enough to have my mom come help with the boys. During it she kept telling Levi what was showing on the screen. He kept saying, "I don't see a pee pee yet!" Well he was right too:) Zack just played an Elmo game on the IPAD and barely even looked up when you tried to talk to him. He won't probably get it until the baby is actually HERE!

When I was getting induced with Levi a nurse asked me what I was having. After I told her she responded, "Every little girl needs a big brother." I don't really think big brothers have to be technical brothers, but I did think that was cute of her to say. This lucky little girl will have two VERY excited brothers and two VERY excited parents waiting for April 25 ish to come!

Hegerhorst Family Thanksgiving 2012

For Thanksgiving this year plans turned out that we headed down south for Thanksgiving. We had a fun family filled weekend with yummy food, cousin fun, and shopping!

After some Black Friday shopping, we headed to Riverwoods that evening for dinner and lights.

The boys even got to see Santa! Zack didn't cry this year and was actually excited and willing to go sit on his lap!

On Saturday we had a family party for Lily girls birthday and then headed to Thanksgiving Pointe for some lights. I thought it was a fun change in tradition since our family is getting a little large to try to stay together at temple square. My parents rented a trolley and the kids loved it!

Such a fun Thanksgiving and it gets me VERY excited for Christmas!!!!
