Animal Crackers In My Soup...

Okay, so these are not animal crackers, and they are not in soup. However, Zack loves them all the same! Oh, how this kid LOVES his crackers and hates his baby food at the moment!

Notice the new look. I was going to grow his hair out a little, but couldn't resist cutting it...again. I hope my girls hair grows as fast as this kids hair if I ever have one! He has had four cuts I think before nine months. They were needed cuts too! Levi had not even had his first!

Where is his eye?

Thursday night we finally got around to carving/painting our pumpkins. Levi LOVED painting his pumpkins and still insists on "painting again!" I made my own woody design and it was all going well until the very end. Me being the clumsy person I am, knocked out Woody's eye. But, all in all we had a good time! Yes, Levi is potty trained still, I just didn't want him to get paint on his underwear.

I gave Levi the paint brush and a minute later it looked like this:
Does that not look like a face to you? Maybe I have an artist in the making!

Editing Practice

I will be the first to admit that I switch from one hobby to the next and back again often. I was on a huge crochet streak for a week or two, and now I am back to photography. I really enjoy learning more and more. Sometimes I wish there was a class I could attend to teach me just how to do it easier. But, until then I am just going to learn from experience and lots of tutorials online:) Once again no judging, I am still learning a baby step at a time. I was messing around with a few new things and took a few pics at the park tonight to practice with. I know, I know, you see a ton of park pictures. We really do go there at least once a day, that is why!

sorry there is the same picture a few times. I was practicing editing different ways, so you will just have to deal with it!

Zack loving the swings and laughing hysterically

Cam attempting a mad face...didn't really work.
This one probably turned out as my favorite black and white:

The Cool Down

This is the week that I feel has separated us from summer to winter. It has been rainy and the temp has dropped close to 20 degrees and does not seem to be climbing back. I LOVE this time of year and was excited to whip out some jackets and pants for the boys and headed out to a park. Arizona is great for the fun parks down here, so we are finally getting to take advantage of it!

Sunday Best

My boys were so cute yesterday morning getting ready for church. I wanted to snap a few of them looking good before they destroyed all of moms hard work in seconds:) Zack was tired so he would not smile easily and especially not at a camera! Levi, well he will never smile at you if you are holding a camera. He is two. They are such sweet boys and we love their sweet personalities and what they bring to our family.

Updates on the boys:

Levi is a sponge shocking me everyday with new things he picks up on. His new phrase of the week consists of something like this: Me: Hey Levi lets go do.... Levi: No, not yet. I need to finish ..... He is an active boy who wants to ride his bike every morning. Which is good for me and gets us up and out the door by 8. He loves cars, always has. He is extremely aware of where his lightening McQueen cars are and makes sure no one is playing with them. He answers the question, "guess what?" by saying, "I love you!" He gives you hugs and kisses all the time. He is so guilt ridden that if you give him a sad face he will come up and give you hugs and kisses. He even comes and tells me what naughty things he has been doing. Like, "Momma, I hit Zacky." Such a goof. I love it though! He loves to find monsters with his flash light. And he LOVES LOVES his daddy. He wakes up in the middle of the night occasionally and just comes in our room to make sure Dan is still there. Then he just goes back to his bed. He always requests for his dad to wrestle him when he gets home from work. They are too cute together. He is beginning the question stage. Starting to ask me things like, "What is that noise?" I don't mind the simple questions like these. Even when he asks them over and over and over again!

Zack is starting to make his way everywhere and get into all sorts of stuff. I can now say he can crawl. He is not super good at it yet, but he manages to get on all fours and move around in an uncoordinated sort of way! He is getting very close to pulling himself up on stuff already. He gets most of the way up and then falls on his bum. He is just like Levi in the aspect that when he figures something out there is no stopping him. I am sure by next week he will be all over the place!! I love it though. He has also recently turned into a mommy's boy. I am hoping the stage will not last too long! I love feeling loved, just sometimes I wish I could leave the room without hearing him cry out when I turn the corner! He does still go to other people and usually does better when I am not in the room when he does. So dad has his little buddy and I got mine. Interesting how that works out! Zack is also on the stage where I am going to have to clean my floor frequently because he eats every little thing he can find on it! I love babies and Zack's chubby cheeks!

Really, Can He Get Any Cuter?

I don't think he can! And check out the new saweet beanies. I am having too much fun! He is my model since I can't get Levi to hold still for one second. I am still debating on really selling these things or not. I just have fun making them, but I want to keep them! Or give them to friends:)

K&JCrochet...Has Begun

Kellie and I learned a neat skill when we were little and it has come back to be something we really enjoy. Crocheting! About two years ago we started making beanies. It has been fun to find things to make for our kids and has become quite the fun variety! I am accumulating a lot of yarn, ideas, and completed projects. So, we have tracked down a boutique to sell in and have set up a blog. Here is some of our work and or blog that still needs some additions and work!

Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting...

Sorry for the focusing issues. My camera does video as well, but it has a manual focus. Which means that when my kids move, I need to refocus. I need a little practice at getting quicker at it!
Levi has recently started to like watching the movie Kung Fu Panda. I now have a realization of how much of an impact what your children watch is. I first thought it was hilarious, him rolling across the couch and jumping up on the armrest with this serious look on his face and punching the air. Then rolling across to the other armrest and doing the same thing. Over and over and over! Later, he ran to the closet and pulled out the broom. This is when it got not so funny. This became his Kung Fu stick, or whatever you would call it. In fear for my life as this two year old swung the broom at me like his friend, "Master Shifu," I have begun to think twice about letting him watch that one anymore:) He loves it so much though!
Yes, he did pee his pants a little in the video. I give him props for potty training at 21months, but he still has his little accidents all the time. He goes just enough to keep him going. He does really well besides the little spots on his pants every now and then.
Check out Zack's pushups! He is getting closer and closer to crawling daily. I always have been told you are excited for the first and want the second to take there time, but I think I am ready! Go Zacky!!

PHX Zoo and Push-Ups

We got lucky and landed us a free 3 month membership to the PHX Zoo. We headed out there yesterday and were lucky to have Dan join us last minute. Levi loved it a few weeks ago, but it was stinkin hot. So, this time we spent three hours there and loving it. It was still hot.

Levi likes the movie Madagascar right now, so he really liked seeing a real lion!
This squirrel literally attempted to jump in our stroller. For having no zoom on the lens I was using, you can see how close I could get to him without scaring him off.
Can't get between a boy and his cars.
Levi got to feed the giraffe's. He absolutely loved it and came out yelling, "FEED THEM AGAIN, FEED THEM AGAIN!"
Check out those long tongues.

We tried out the paddle boats this time. Levi's first boat ride ever...
Love the splash pads there. Levi+water=can play all day.

Zack is pretty much seconds away from crawling. Just like Levi once he figures out he can do something there is no stopping him. The other day he found out he could do this:
He was pretty happy about it. Now he does it over and over and propels himself backwards and forwards on the floor everywhere. Quite the sight!

After...

See the storm video below and here are the results. According to the landscaping crew and insurance companies outside taking pictures, it was confirmed to be a small tornado. My first one ever! (sarcastically excited!) I am glad I didn't know that at the time:)

A boys funnest play ground!
The big puddle! Levi freaked out when I tried to bring him inside.
The tree limb about to fall on our house.

My neighbor trying to get out of their house.
The hail...

Hail Storm...

My kids were terrified this storm was SO loud. I was on the phone with Jeni so excuse my sweet narration. But, enjoy the crazy day we had! Pictures to follow!

The Time Has FINALLY Come!

Pros and Cons of Arizona:

Con: Way too hot from July-September to have two boys cooped up inside all day.
Pro: The winters are freakin sweet!

Bring on the outdoors...FINALLY!

2 hours later after a walk and some park fun. OH! I love the outdoors:)
"CHEEEEESE! Now push me mom!"
4 teeth and counting...
Notice the pants and long sleeve shirts on the boys...The 70 degree weather felt cool to me:)
Zack was laughing like crazy when Levi pushed him.

Did I mention I love the winters here? I also love having a park across the street!
