Museum and PJ's

We were able to join a friend at the Mesa Children's Museum this week. Levi had a blast and we can't wait to go again. My camera was just about dead, so I didn't get too many pics. But, here are a few to give you an idea of what it was like!

I got the boys some warm pajamas for our trip to Lincoln City, Oregon tomorrow. It has been in the 60's low 70's so we are going to freeze. I have not seen that weather since we visited Utah in December:) They both looked so cute playing together in their matching PJ's.

Happy Birthday To Me

I had a great birthday (minus my boys sleeping habits). The day began with Dan's gift of a pedicure at a spa gift card. Yay! I was shocked because I have already gotten so much in the past few months and I told him not to do much at all. I mean my new D300s camera, new photoshop, and we got a new 27in IMAC a week or so ago. All of which I was super excited about! So this has been a huge birthday for me.

During the day Levi, Zack, and I went shopping and got me a few shirts from momma Burkholder (thanks!).
We also hit up Kripy Kremes here because they give you a free dozen on you birthday. They were even out of glazed so I was able to choose my own. Levi of course, told everyone we passed we were going to get doughnuts. He then was so excited about the sprinkles on them. So, we got him some of those. I wish I had brought my camera there. He was too cute in his Krispy Kremes hat eating his sprinkled doughnut.

Then I finished off the day with some great friends who surprised me and took me out to the Bahama Bucks down here for some shaved ice. It was a yummy end of a good birthday. Thanks everyone!

Twin Tribute

Since today is mine and Julie's first birthday apart in 23 years, I decided to make a birthday tribute. I love you JUJ!!! I'll be thinkin about you all day:)

Need Someplace New

As I was sitting here testing out my new photoshop and my new computer (hooray!), and LOVING it, I realized there is only one place in my house with good light. That is where I take all my pictures these days. On top of that, I use the same chair to sit my kids in. Maybe I need to inherit some fun props! Dan keeps asking me when is this going to end (as far as buying stuff for pictures). I really don't know but at least I have a hobby right!? I think it is important to work towards things (especially when you are coping from being SO far from family) and learning new things. I get excited when I learn new things and have things to look forward to. So for my post today, enjoy some chair pictures in the same spot in the dungeon of a townhome I live in with little light! The girl is the one who shares a birthday with Levi. As a trade for his McQueen cake I took pictures of her little girl. One of my first little attempt to take pictures for somebody else. She is a doll! Also, don't judge the dirty chair! I have two little boys...enough said!

Party Time!!!

For Levi's birthday we rounded up the friends and headed to a pool. We had pizza and cake. My friend Jeni's little girl Hayli was turning one the same day so we combined parties. She made Levi the cutest lightening McQueen cake. Of course Levi was so excited! Levi received books, cars character cars, a tricycle, and a few more toys for his birthday. It was a lot of fun and thanks for all those that came! "Happy day" (this is what Levi called his birthday) to Levi!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Happy Birthday to my buddy Levi! Birthday pics will be posted soon... We started today off at the doctors and here are the stats:

My big two year old is

26.8 lbs (25-50%)

35 3/4 in (75-90%)

Head was 15-20%

I love you bud! You are the sweetest and smartest little person I know (seriously!) and so much fun to be around. Even when you get up at 5am like this morning:)

I Love To See The Temple

A couple of days ago we went to a wedding of a friend through Dan's work. Dan is part of the wedding party so we waited outside of the temple for a few minutes to wait for him. I kept telling Levi that it was the temple. Now every night before bed he is requesting me to sing the "temple" song. It amazes me sometimes the things that just click in this kids brain. He recognized the word from a song I sing him every now and then and was able to see and understand that we were at the temple. What a sweet kid for teaching his mommy another lesson,the temple needs to become a more consistent part of our busy lives!

As you can see be the extreme light, it was over 110 degrees at the hottest part of the day during one of the hottest months of the year! Good time to pick a wedding huh?!

Happy 4th of July!!

We headed off to Snowflake, AZ this weekend with the Hatch family. They were nice enough to invite us up to visit their hometowns. We were able to hang out on a farm, go to a rodeo, see a fireworks show, and get out of the HEAT! Levi had a lot of fun with all of the space to run and explore. I am a little sad because somehow between downloading pictures I lost all of the ones from the rodeo. I really have no idea how that happened! But, here are a few of the weekend (I just realized they are almost all of Levi! The rest of us got deleted!):
