Camping Without the Tent Part 1

Yesterday we went camping without doing the tent part. We drove up early and spent the day with our friends the Hatch's. The weather was amazing and we got to enjoy all the best parts of camping! We rode horses, shot guns, rode four-wheelers, made smores and tinfoil dinners (in a dutch oven actually), played games, and got dirty! There was even a tree swing that Levi could not get enough of. Thanks to our good friends for an AMAZING time. Levi LOVED the four-wheelers like any boy would! This is most of the pictures I will post it is just getting late and I don't want to edit anymore. I just took so many of all the fun it was hard to choose just a few!

Levi-Squivi

Levi has kind of been forced to grow up in the last 3+ months since Zack has joined us. Since this is my scrapbook and I need to buy a new journal I decided to list a few things Levi has learned to do in the last few months: He is potty trained, he can climb out of his crib and therefore now has a big boy bed, is super fast (I can testify to that since I am the one chasing him!), he talks like crazy now. Here are just a few of his latest sayings: "YUP!," "new bed," "mommy comin," and anything he can't see is "hiding," "is not workin," "baby sad," he knows the colors "Buu," and "Wewow", and "Wed", and "Gween," "ZACKY!" "I funny," "down peez," "yo-yo," "don't fall,"COSCO!"

This morning Levi wanted to make Zack stop crying so he snuggled him while they watched a little Cars. It is the only way to keep boys happy when their daddy leaves in the morning.

This is Levi helping daddy build some more shelves in our storage closet. He loves daddy's "toows."

This is how we find Levi the last week now that he can get out of his crib. He loves the freedom, but now knows he cannot come down the stairs so he falls asleep at the top of them instead!

This is just a pic of Zack I decided to add of him watching Levi run crazy at the park.

I am not sure which video is which so I will just explain all three. One is Levi singing as this is a new found love of his. Very relaxing huh? At the end he says "baby sing too" and puts his microphone up to Zack. The other two were at a birthday party last weekend our friends had. The grandparents had the sweetest backyard with all the toys you could imagine. Levi had a blast! Being the daredevil he is he tried it all. The tire swing (scarred mom to death) and the "magic carpet". That was a ride on a carpet being dragged by four wheelers. He LOVED it and was so sad when we had to go home. You think a two year old would be a little scarred of heights but not mine!

My mother's request for more pictures for her wall. Here is what I got while taking a walk last night with the neighbor's little red wagon. I think we need to get one!

Slip-N-Slide/Boy's Room

For our playgroup this week, we had a slip-n-slide. Levi was a little cautious of it and I wanted him to have fun, so I did it. Yes, I was wearing my clothes but it was worth it! You are NEVER too old for a slip-n-slide! You can still see his bruised cheek, I swear I don't beat my kid! He is just an active boy! He was not a HUGE fan of going down the slip-n-slide, but he loved the water!

My part of the boy's room is finally done! I have been working on these things since November... We still need to finish the chair rale, and the hole in the wall that came from a nail from the chair rale puncturing our air conditioning line. But, all my painting and curtain sewing are DONE DONE DONE. As you can see the side of Levi's crib is still off. We are working on getting him a mattress to start the transition into t a toddler bed.

Levi's Wip!

Levi was being Levi, and being a dare devil little boy was jumping around on the cushions of our couch. This time they were even all on the floor! He still managed to trip somehow and smacked his face on the corner of the wood frame of our couch. As you can tell he hurt his "Wip". It looks like he just about bit through the whole thing and he has a bruise line across his cheek from the corner of the frame. Poor kid! It always makes my heart drop to see blood coming out of my child's mouth. How come it is becoming a regular occurance with him? He is destined for stitches I swear! Here are a few pictures of his boo boo, I don't think they do the injury justice, but for grandma and aunt Kellie's sake I said I would post some!

I couldn't help adding one of Zack because my posts have all been about Levi lately. Zack is such an angel baby and we love his big cheeks and his cheesy smile!

Hey Batter Batter Batter...Swing

For a program through work Dan had a softball game on Saturday, so the boys and I joined him. Levi is such a baller already and loved watching his daddy, a little too much that he wanted to join him on the field. So I took him over to play on another field. It was fun to get out and get lots and lots of wiggles out. We were able to join the group for a BBQ and they had a blow up bouncy thing there that Levi had a lot of fun playing in too. What a fun afternoon!
